I've got a Siamese cat. He was abandoned by his owner and is living in state - three nests made by neighbours - in our garden. He is absolutely beautiful, aged 11, and a white/cream colour, brown eyes I think. So far we have blinked at each other, me flat on face behind bush in garden.

The lady who feeds him is going away for 6 weeks. She is in a royal state of anxiety so I stepped in. Have been trained to do the feeding, leg massage, etc.

His history is shameful. He has been coming to us for food for ages, finally taken to Battersea, where his so-called owner collected him in 90 minutes. Then left him to starve. So you see I can't not.

Any words of wisdom? I need them.

Well, that sounds good newsSmile

cozietoesie · 22/12/2017 17:55

Yes indeed. And you still had a good lunch out as well. Smile

Lanaorana2 · 22/12/2017 18:19

LOVELY.

He's had a Sheba soup. Phew. Going to bed early again.

NB is also well - he and the caretaker were last spotted clasped in a macho embrace. A slight cold wind to the heart for me and my mimsy feminine efforts Grin

Will make NB's house tomorrow when am monitoring Mr C. At least I don't have to fall over again, I'm putting it somewhere we can both get to it, caretaker will have first choice.

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 22/12/2017 19:38

It looks as if he's been 'chosen'. Nothing you can do, I fear. Sad

cozietoesie · 22/12/2017 19:40

You probably have a whiff of Mr C about you as well. I doubt NB would want 'leavings'. Grin

Weedsnseeds1 · 22/12/2017 20:51

References to clotted cream and the use of the word "lush" are making me suspect you are local to me Lana !
All OK with Mr C so far?

Lanaorana2 · 22/12/2017 21:11

Everything is sort of ok, thanks. Mr C is still wandering around lika a dazed thing but we have 3 soups under our belt and he is hassling me to go to bed, which is good news.

C, I definitely smell of Mr C. When I got in this pm he scented me incredibly thoroughly, he does it every morning, little hard nut smacking mine and doing rumbly purring.

The poor caretaker is taking his surprise appointment as The Chosen One with a certain bitter dignity. :)

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 22/12/2017 21:24

Hah! That means he's secretly loving it, I suspect? Grin

cozietoesie · 22/12/2017 21:46

In fact, you may well discover him with little parcels of (fairly choice) scraps from Xmas dinners. The phrase 'They would just have gone in the bin otherwise.' may even be heard. Smile

Lanaorana2 · 22/12/2017 21:48

I'll find out tomorrow. I'll be going in with money and food, that might take the, er, face off him for a few minutes :)

OP posts:
Lanaorana2 · 23/12/2017 12:43

No chance of that, it turns out. He delivered NB's house at 7am and ran off. It is larger than my flat, in sections. I'm not normally fazed by a ludicrous self-assembly but there are about 142 screws of varying shapes and no instructions. That's Xmas gone. Grin

Mr C is all right....ish, he's very quiet but not so panicky. He is in bed, I keep hopping back in between cleaning jobs.

Asbo gets poorly for no reason & it goes on for a few days then he gets better.

It's very worrying.

Lanaorana2 · 23/12/2017 13:21

I know. Still, he's better than he was 48 hours ago. How is your tiny little Christmas Kitten today?

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 23/12/2017 13:26

You mean my sulky, stroppy teenager? Grin

Lanaorana2 · 23/12/2017 15:06

Yes, bless his tiny furry socks, the little helpless lamb :)

My bday update:

  1. Hot water gone
  2. Hoover blown up despite repair this week, yes, this week
  3. Kettle blown up while boiling water for bath
  4. Three generations invite themselves for tea 4 secs after dance with death re unplugging fizzing blue sparks kettle
  5. Buy new kettle, forget pint milk
  6. Back out, buy tea plates, forget pint milk
  7. Cheer self up with arrival of new door mat, nicked in moments
  8. Consider new sweary 'humour' SCREW YOU doormat, rejected as too close to not being funny
  9. Put Cava in fridge. Well, freezer so it only takes 20 min to chill and down in one.
OP posts:
Weedsnseeds1 · 23/12/2017 15:16

I'd concentrate on the cava. No need for milk then.
I'm busy procrastinating - need bread ( OH appears to have consumed an entire loaf for breakfast, then pissed off to East Anglia to see his Dad and brother), a lemon, butter and possibly milk, if I'm feeling charitable ( I'm not the one who uses it).
How hideous will the shops be today?

Lanaorana2 · 23/12/2017 15:21

Fine advice,

Sainsbury's wasn't pretty.

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 23/12/2017 15:35

Have you taken the bottle out of the freezer yet? (I only ask because the way the day is going for you......) Grin

Ollivander84 · 23/12/2017 15:41

I went to Morrisons at 22.15 last night. It was dead Grin and shelves were well stocked. Quick shop and I was home in half an hour
Ollie purring away in usual position on sheepskin bliss

cozietoesie · 23/12/2017 15:42

Usual these days? Wink

Lanaorana2 · 23/12/2017 15:46

Mr C still won't eat. Even salmon mousse.

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 23/12/2017 15:47

My guess is that he's sore.

Ollivander84 · 23/12/2017 15:50

Of course Grin one very content cat
