I've got a Siamese cat. He was abandoned by his owner and is living in state - three nests made by neighbours - in our garden. He is absolutely beautiful, aged 11, and a white/cream colour, brown eyes I think. So far we have blinked at each other, me flat on face behind bush in garden.

The lady who feeds him is going away for 6 weeks. She is in a royal state of anxiety so I stepped in. Have been trained to do the feeding, leg massage, etc.

His history is shameful. He has been coming to us for food for ages, finally taken to Battersea, where his so-called owner collected him in 90 minutes. Then left him to starve. So you see I can't not.

Any words of wisdom? I need them.

Would he maybe like something warm, or lick e lix?

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/12/2017 16:39

Frozen chicken livers lightly cooked in the oven usually goes down well. Not with asbo who is convinced they are poison but 3 Persians loved them.

Is his mouth sore?.

Runny egg yolk?

Has he had his cider?

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/12/2017 16:40

Miele for vacuums, marks electrical do them cheap regularly

cozietoesie · 23/12/2017 17:04

Vacuum cleaner porn that kind of talk is to me, Fluffy! Grin (I studiously avoid such threads on Housekeeping.)

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/12/2017 17:08

We have a robo vacuum too. Asbo is terrified of him.

Weedsnseeds1 · 23/12/2017 17:11

Noooooooo, not Lik-e-liks, it's only been a few weeks since they were introduced here and already buying them by the case. It'll be full pallet loads by Easter Shock

cozietoesie · 23/12/2017 17:23

Ah. Have the full range of flavours been sampled? Grin

Weedsnseeds1 · 23/12/2017 17:53

Yes, they're all mana from heaven, but the chicken seems to have a slight edge, judging by the ecstatic scraping at the floor afterwards.
I've looked everywhere for the festive turkey and cranberry ones, but no joy.

Lanaorana2 · 23/12/2017 17:55

I'll go Miele but I crave a robo. I'm with you C I get ridiculously excited about suction That and bright whites. .

The dead vac is still in situ, I forked out for a guarantee at JL so it's going back. I hope their 'no quibble' guarantee includes 'plenty cat fur'.

I am home. Ollie has insisted on sharing my pudding (the dregs of some cream was left in the bowl)
I caved. It's nearly Christmas

How did your interview go Ollivander?

Ollivander84 · 23/12/2017 23:21

I'm saying "ok" so I don't curse myself! Waiting to hear but will be after Christmas

BulletFox · 23/12/2017 23:22

Think she got the job

cozietoesie · 23/12/2017 23:25

I even gave Newboy some chicken LEL given that it's nearly Xmas. He did not seem especially grateful for the gesture.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 23/12/2017 23:29

Good luck Ollivander!

Weedsnseeds1 · 24/12/2017 00:08

Mine would have been squishy side up and purring like a train cosie.
Then endlessly exiting and re-entering the room in a vain attempt to pretend he'd just come home and it was time for a chicken sludge.
Because he hadn't had one yet.
Oh no, none today. Lik-e-liks please...

Ollivander84 · 24/12/2017 00:22

Ollie wouldn't even sniff it Sad I feel left out

cozietoesie · 24/12/2017 00:25

Newboy left half of it - until I put the bowl upstairs in his room. He's having a week of Scaredy Cat - I think the Added Squeak unnerved him. Shock

cozietoesie · 24/12/2017 00:30

He's now received his official family name - PsychoBoy. Hmm

Lanaorana2 · 24/12/2017 11:03

After a night of misery re starving cat - ate 0, drank 0 yest - woke to a packet of dreamies sprayed over kitchen floor!!!!!

Damaged cupboard door!!!!!!

My tiny frail kitten has come back to us, best Xmas present ever. Am drenched in relief, ashamed to admit it but was pleading with him not to snuff it yesterday.

He is weak but ok, ate 3 soups, 2 chews, some more dreamies and AGAIL for brekker.

Brilliant name for N. Good luck re job O, sounds promising.

So pleased. Smile

Weedsnseeds1 · 24/12/2017 12:17

Good news, must have been feeling peaky for some reason, but clearly his appetite is now back with a vengeance!

cozietoesie · 24/12/2017 12:38

I think Fluffy said that ASBO is given to occasional spells of 'something or other' with no apparent cause?
