I've got a Siamese cat. He was abandoned by his owner and is living in state - three nests made by neighbours - in our garden. He is absolutely beautiful, aged 11, and a white/cream colour, brown eyes I think. So far we have blinked at each other, me flat on face behind bush in garden.

The lady who feeds him is going away for 6 weeks. She is in a royal state of anxiety so I stepped in. Have been trained to do the feeding, leg massage, etc.

His history is shameful. He has been coming to us for food for ages, finally taken to Battersea, where his so-called owner collected him in 90 minutes. Then left him to starve. So you see I can't not.

Any words of wisdom? I need them.

PS - the giveaway phrase is 'I couldn't just..........'. (If you hear that, they've fallen! Grin

Cozie, he is pretty grumpy. That 6am gong wakes the dead. Mind you he is a total sweetheart too.

How is the tiny prince today?

Doing quite well. SmileHis mouse with added squeak arrived this afternoon but he's yet to discover it. (After 23.00 is his playtime.)

Used his Second Tray twice.

Lanaorana2 · 20/12/2017 21:22

He's a night owl. Mr c HAS just done something bad to this pc by stamping on it.

Has N been ont' bed?

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 20/12/2017 22:08

Indeed. He comes onto the bed for half an hour plus, most evenings. Smile

Shouldn't that be an 'Inaction Tutorial'? Grin

cozietoesie · 20/12/2017 22:38

Ollivander84 · 20/12/2017 22:44

I have pork scratchings. They are his favourite thing in the whole world HmmGrin

cozietoesie · 20/12/2017 22:48

After you of course. Smile

Ollivander84 · 20/12/2017 22:51

To be honest they might even rank above me Grin

Lanaorana2 · 21/12/2017 10:51

The total sweetness,. Did you get a single pork scratching?

OP posts:
Ollivander84 · 21/12/2017 11:42

Of course the crumbs

cozietoesie · 21/12/2017 13:36

Better than nothing! (I assume you bought them for Ollie anyway.) Smile

Lanaorana2 · 21/12/2017 15:05

Mr is not well. Help. He has not been eating much for a day or two, didn't get up for breakfast, and has only managed a few teeny biscuits hand-fed for lunch. He is ill in bed. Purring, I suspect in pain. Ideas? Vet?

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 21/12/2017 15:18

Yep. Well I would. Can you do it?

cozietoesie · 21/12/2017 15:21

Has he used his tray (or equivalent) very recently?

Lanaorana2 · 21/12/2017 15:31

Vet tomorrow.

I can't believe this has happened TWICE, Bought loads of Xmas presents for DF on his behalf. He has gone mental and refused to pay me back. Last time it was my brother. I have two quid in the bank until I get paid. Why oh why etc. To be fair Dad has never done it before, I am going to make appt for Mr C anyway, for Xmas Eve. Balls. Xmas balls. I am going to tell the vet the truth and see what happens.

OP posts:
Lanaorana2 · 21/12/2017 15:34

Yes he has trayed, both if you know what I mean, but he won't move and one of his eyelids is droopy.

OP posts:
Lanaorana2 · 21/12/2017 15:36

I have told the vet the truth and have time to settle, thank God for that, so no worries there.

NB's home has not arrived either. I am going to try some cat milk.

OP posts:
Fluffycloudland77 · 21/12/2017 15:39

I'd knock all this present business on the head now you know. Thank heavens your vet is understanding.

Lanaorana2 · 21/12/2017 16:03

I've point blank refused for DB but he has slightly redeemed himself with the i-phone. I believe I shouted 'spend some money on me for once or it's a dickpic off the cat', which may also have assisted his decision making. :)

DF is barmy at the mo, I didn't push it. I'll be trying again in the New Year, I can tell you. DM is also grumpy as he has done it to her.

DF? Wink

Could his arthritis be getting him down? (I seem to recall that meloxicam doesn't suit him.)

cozietoesie · 21/12/2017 16:07

How old is he again?
