I've got a Siamese cat. He was abandoned by his owner and is living in state - three nests made by neighbours - in our garden. He is absolutely beautiful, aged 11, and a white/cream colour, brown eyes I think. So far we have blinked at each other, me flat on face behind bush in garden.

The lady who feeds him is going away for 6 weeks. She is in a royal state of anxiety so I stepped in. Have been trained to do the feeding, leg massage, etc.

His history is shameful. He has been coming to us for food for ages, finally taken to Battersea, where his so-called owner collected him in 90 minutes. Then left him to starve. So you see I can't not.

Any words of wisdom? I need them.

The cave didn't get recycled then?

Ollivander84 · 17/01/2018 23:14

Not yet. The new vacuum cleaner came in a box which was packed in a box. The bin will only fit the inner box so he's keeping the outer box until next Tuesday

Lanaorana2 · 18/01/2018 11:11

Did anyone have their furry slumber a little disrupted by the wind last night? Typhoon here, in true inner city fashion drug detritus has blown onto my balcony. Unless it's Mr C skinning up when I'm out.

Which is not unlikely. Camberwell Catnip, here we come.

Honestly, officer, it was either the wind or my cat that done it. Yes, that cat. Honest.

Lanaorana2 · 18/01/2018 21:08

Did anyone just watch Big Cats - I am in love, really, with the Pallas cats. I want to live in the desert with them. Not sure how Mr C would take the Gourmet and Quilt situation, so we'll probably stay in Clapham, but honestly.

How is Pboy? The thought of a Siamese among the Pallas cats - fluffy, bad tempered, thick - is quite terrifying . He'd have them carrying his sedan in moments, being ball boys for his brown mice 24/7.

Ah. Octocolobus manul?

No. One thing you can say about PBoy is that he's seriously bright. Seriously.

cozietoesie · 18/01/2018 21:31

Down to one mouse and a separated tail, now. Sad

Ollivander84 · 18/01/2018 22:42

My old job have sent me a card signed from loads of people and a Next gift card 😍😭

Lanaorana2 · 18/01/2018 22:44

He might enjoy 10,000 fat furry slaves, you never know. Egyptian cats did, not furry as such, more lightly tanned human. I see PB as a Junior Ra. :)

That's LOVELY O. Next is cracking for style steals, people I know in v glam jobs get their secret chic stuff there. And the fit is brilliant if you have the body of a lady, rather than that of a stick insect.

Ollie has retreated to his sheepskin just looking at the photos "no FANK yooooo hooman. Keep your cold snow"

Lanaorana2 · 18/01/2018 23:02

Ooh, I'm feeling the cardigan - instant outfit finisher, and comfy to boot. Smart choice.

Have you looked at Amazon Find? It's their own make of fashion - I got brilliant joggers with a side stripe for 4 quid and tee shirts that washed perfectly for 3 quid.

I've had more fun driving, to be honest, crappy Peugeot 108 hire car, 1 hour from factory to hotel 2 miles away Tuesday night. Was very grateful to get home around midnight last night, despite delays for plane de-icing.

Weeds I can imagine you are sinking into the highly deserved bliss of your own warm home.

Those roads are narsty, well done. Phew.

Cat, cuppa, little medicinal shot at least two days to be lazy if you can, I say. can you train it next time? My friend who has to drive over the bridge to Sweden from Denmark weekly in winter says you can stand the driving if you don't do it all the time. Or use a moped (:) twat).

New fave documentary 'Farmer Discovers 4 Kittens In Barn But When They Grow He Realizes They're Not House Cats'

This happened to people I know. They had a large house in a Chelsea square, and acquired a tiny, helpless bundle of grey fluff. Little Ponto became the darling of the wife, who lavished care and attention on him, even tho the vet kept trying to say something. Ponto went out at night. In a month three Yorkshire terriers disappeared, old ladies in floods, etc.In the daytime Ponto slumbered snoring on the wife, savaging the husband at every opportunity.

Finally the husband took him to the vet, having fitted a mesh cage into the vast volvo. The vet slowly explained Ponto was a lynx. Ponto was sent to the country, where he and the wife live now. If she has to go away, the gardener feeds him by throwing a leg of lamb over the wall. They are very happy.

Lordy. A lynx? (Even ASBO would be concerned. Shock)

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/01/2018 15:21

Don't you need a licence for a lynx Shock? Dh would love a lynx.

We think asbo saw "something" when we lived rurally, he shot in the cat flap one night like the devil himself was after him & was checking the windows for ages while growling. Full on fluffy tail & ridged back for ages.

I've seen the back end of a black leopard near by & dh saw a lion/mountain lion years back about 5 miles away.

cozietoesie · 19/01/2018 15:31

I think you're supposed to have one, Yes.

Lanaorana2 · 19/01/2018 16:35

I'm pretty sure Little Ponto remains unlicensed. He hasn't eaten the kids or anything so he shouldn't get caught. I don't think there's a govt van roaming around with a grumpy man inside it waiting to check you're not watching a lynx without a licence.

Oh how lucky to see a leopard and a mountain lion. And locally!

How is PBoy today?

At the back of his LWT! Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/01/2018 20:03

Maybe Ponto identifies as a chinchilla Persian?.
