I've got a Siamese cat. He was abandoned by his owner and is living in state - three nests made by neighbours - in our garden. He is absolutely beautiful, aged 11, and a white/cream colour, brown eyes I think. So far we have blinked at each other, me flat on face behind bush in garden.

The lady who feeds him is going away for 6 weeks. She is in a royal state of anxiety so I stepped in. Have been trained to do the feeding, leg massage, etc.

His history is shameful. He has been coming to us for food for ages, finally taken to Battersea, where his so-called owner collected him in 90 minutes. Then left him to starve. So you see I can't not.

Any words of wisdom? I need them.

Match made in heaven :)

Lanaorana2 · 09/01/2018 16:57

Love in action :)

Mr C has learned to sneeze on my face to get me up.

O padded across my head with his paws just to prove they were indeed chilly. He located the heated blanket on me and fell asleep again until 10am

YetAnotherSpartacus · 09/01/2018 17:22

Plus, your head was warm. He's forgiven you for the flea treatment then?

Ollivander84 · 09/01/2018 17:26

Oh he forgave me about ten minutes after. When I first got him it was hours and hours and he would hide. Now he just legs it then runs back to me 😂

YetAnotherSpartacus · 09/01/2018 17:42

Good to see he still keeps up a symbolic protest. I had a little one who used to visit me who scarpered when I brought out USB drives or modems. It took a while but I finally realised he thought they were flea treatments.

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/01/2018 19:24

I think I'd get up if a cat sneezed in my face.

Lanaorana2 · 09/01/2018 21:25

Yes :)

NB has been seen! Today. Fed 2x by caretaker. We are persevering but we reckon he must be going elsewhere, he looks fine. Phew. Caretaker more than keen on the Amazon boxes that keep arriving full of pricy cat food, smart move.

That's a Siamese for you. Got the pair of you running around like headless chickens!

Well done, Lana. Smile

Ollivander84 · 10/01/2018 13:47

I was ill last night and couldn't sleep. About to drift off when O thudded on to my chest at 4am. I was then wide awake as he gently snored happily
Went back to bed at 9.30am to try and sleep. 11am howling for the window to be open. Being a good cat owner slave I obliged. He went outside, came straight back in and fell asleep again HmmAngry
Where is my coffee...

Lanaorana2 · 10/01/2018 16:26

Sighting of NB fleeing in righteous fury from the rock-breaking machine behind garden. He's not the only one on the run, it's exactly like one imagines Hades around here. Apart from that, everything is peachy as he is clearly not losing weight and I have got catnip seeds to plant.

Mr C scored 10/10 by smiling at all the guests who came for lunch, which was commented upon, altho he got a bit beady when he saw the roast chicken moving in their direction.

Somewhere in this house are four brown mice. I can't find one of them. Sad

Ollivander84 · 10/01/2018 18:33

I presume you mean toy mice Grin

cozietoesie · 10/01/2018 18:59

Oh Yes. Grin

Ollivander84 · 10/01/2018 19:07

Oh Dear. Any prognosis as yet?

Ollivander84 · 10/01/2018 19:18

It was one with contrast to check how my spine is doing after my surgery. They said 4 weeks for results, sooner if anything bad shows up

cozietoesie · 10/01/2018 22:37

One found. Three still 'God knows where'.

Ollivander84 · 10/01/2018 22:47

Ooh I forgot. Fred and Ginger say Hi!

cozietoesie · 10/01/2018 22:50

Are they 'catching' yet? Smile

Ollivander84 · 10/01/2018 22:52

Er no. They're still v v tiny TBH, must be 7 months now. Fred is braver and goes running up and down the aisles getting underfoot
They've been exploring the hedges and trees recently

Kibobear · 11/01/2018 09:38

Ooh they are lovely

Lanaorana2 · 11/01/2018 13:26

Adorable. How is the hooman contact progressing?

Have you found any more brown mice yet C
