I've got a Siamese cat. He was abandoned by his owner and is living in state - three nests made by neighbours - in our garden. He is absolutely beautiful, aged 11, and a white/cream colour, brown eyes I think. So far we have blinked at each other, me flat on face behind bush in garden.

The lady who feeds him is going away for 6 weeks. She is in a royal state of anxiety so I stepped in. Have been trained to do the feeding, leg massage, etc.

His history is shameful. He has been coming to us for food for ages, finally taken to Battersea, where his so-called owner collected him in 90 minutes. Then left him to starve. So you see I can't not.

Any words of wisdom? I need them.

Oh ... I thought you were saying you had claimed her. I hope she is treated OK at home - she seems very hungry.

Ollivander84 · 07/01/2018 17:33

She is. There is no cat flap so she's shut outside a lot of the time

cozietoesie · 07/01/2018 18:06

......very hungry? Wink

Ollivander84 · 07/01/2018 19:10

She eats in gulps. Like an entire 1/4 pouch of natures menu in her mouth in one go Shock

cozietoesie · 07/01/2018 19:29

Well I'd be calling on her (former?) owners - if only to check the date when they had her neutered. Wink

Lanaorana2 · 07/01/2018 19:30

She is hungry. She loves you too. Olli liks her.

Just had people to lunch.Mr C really friendly then remembered his best guest behaviour and told them he hadn't been fed for a week. Halfway though our pre-roast chicken chat, a chicken wing flew into the hall. Luckily Greek Salad 'was everyone's favourite'. After lunch we had to sit round him because he wouldn't move from duvet - still doing grunty purrs now.

NewWaif is a good timeshare kitty.

I know that Ollie is very secure in his attachment to you so he's probably prepared to be magnanimous and share a house with another mog. You'll always be his hooman. I've found that boy/girl sharing seems to work well.

Then again, she might be minding her manners just until she's got her knees under the table!

P.S. well done on the new job

Lanaorana2 · 07/01/2018 21:36

Mr C is available for timeshare. He's claiming he didn't eat a chicken earlier. How is PBoy this fine evening? It's freeee-eeee-zing in London.

Fluffycloudland77 · 07/01/2018 21:41

Will MrC start his injections soon?.

I'd eat the rest of the chicken. Our cats got a taste for butter due to Dh leaving a rim of waitroses salted on the butter dish. Took Dh and I a week to figure out how he knew what butter tastes like.

cozietoesie · 07/01/2018 22:24

PBoy doesn't know what 'freezing' means, I fear. Grin

Lanaorana2 · 07/01/2018 22:36

I'm hoovering every scrap down my neck right now. Soon for the injections but I want to leave it a bit as he was so freaked out after the last visit.

You'll find raspy tongue marks in the butter and cheese from now on. Watch the mayo.

PBoy is a Very Lucky Young Man. :)

I wish he realised it. Smile

Lanaorana2 · 07/01/2018 22:43

Oh he does, he does... but you'll be the last to know, doesn't Do to give The Staff Ideas. Grin

Club Tropicana is positively sweltering. Smile

cozietoesie · 08/01/2018 14:44

Just over 22 degrees in there. Wink

Ollivander84 · 08/01/2018 17:29

I've just been to a house with work to find a cat toasting herself in front of the fire, paws up Grin
Naturally she sat in my lap purring while the owner went "she never does that to anyone"

Lanaorana2 · 08/01/2018 17:39

You are The Cat Whisperer O. Is there anywhere safe for you to attend?

Bet they both loved you. :)

22 degrees? Mr C's just asked for throw to be put on again. London is 2, which is arctic for those of us of a shamefully Southerly persuasion ie him. Does PBoy play when it's hot or rest?

No sign of NB, I'll try again in a bit. The builders could wake the dead however, I think he's taking a break from the noise.

It's apparently -5 outside. CT had the heating on though plus such sunshine as we had today beating through the window. Smile

Ollivander84 · 08/01/2018 22:03

Ollie has taken to his bed in a strop. I had the audacity to flea treat him

Ollivander84 · 09/01/2018 11:54

Ollie took the "if you get cold, come and find hooman" and woke me at 4am to say his paws were a bit chilly Hmm

YetAnotherSpartacus · 09/01/2018 12:25

We haven't had a photo for a while .

Ollivander84 · 09/01/2018 12:46

His hooman Hmm
