I've got a Siamese cat. He was abandoned by his owner and is living in state - three nests made by neighbours - in our garden. He is absolutely beautiful, aged 11, and a white/cream colour, brown eyes I think. So far we have blinked at each other, me flat on face behind bush in garden.

The lady who feeds him is going away for 6 weeks. She is in a royal state of anxiety so I stepped in. Have been trained to do the feeding, leg massage, etc.

His history is shameful. He has been coming to us for food for ages, finally taken to Battersea, where his so-called owner collected him in 90 minutes. Then left him to starve. So you see I can't not.

Any words of wisdom? I need them.

A Fine Resolution for 2018.

Although actually it could be Threecats or Fourcats etc. (I wouldn't wish her to feel 'restricted' in any way!) Grin

Ollivander84 · 31/12/2017 18:39

Grin you're all a bad influence. Balls was lay on the bed kneading me. That sounds very wrong

Papergirl1968 · 31/12/2017 19:24

Ahh, he looks just like my dcat, Ollivander. But much thinner Sad. Clearly he could do with a good meal and a warm bed, hint hint.

cozietoesie · 31/12/2017 19:31

.... That sounds very wrong....

That's OK, Ollivander. We don't judge. Grin

Ollivander84 · 31/12/2017 19:43

Does seem quite lean and also itchy. He has a home though. It was raining hard and they don't have a cat flap I know of so maybe that's why he popped in. My cheese omelette was delicious apparently Hmm

Ollie mostly sat there going "cat. Cat. Cat in the house hooman. Oh FFS. Going to bed now"

cozietoesie · 31/12/2017 20:16

He's not that bothered then. Smile

Lanaorana2 · 31/12/2017 21:46

I'm not judging either sweetheart, he loves you.

Darling Balls, bless his little furry, er, cotton socks.

Massively cracking HNY 18 to everyone. Mr C and I are hoofing off for an early night & to watch the South Bank fireworks from beneath the duvet.

Loads and loads and loads of love and thanks to you all, and may 2018 be a feline fest as the world has never seen before.

PBoy has been curled up asleep on the bed. (I'm not even in drink, either! Grin)

Fluffycloudland77 · 31/12/2017 23:14

Happy New Year.

Pb sleeps on the bed now then?. All night or for a few hours?.

Lanaorana2 · 01/01/2018 00:27

Shedding tear for darling PBoy having lovely Cozie kip as a taste of things to come in the New Year :)

I am stone cold sober, by accident, and very happy.

cozietoesie · 01/01/2018 00:30

He left it when I did. I submit that actually 'curled up' implies relaxation, though. Smile

Ollivander84 · 01/01/2018 00:31

Fireworks are crazy here Shock
O is snoring away

cozietoesie · 01/01/2018 00:33

Bangs and Thuds here also. PB doesn't seem to mind either.

Lanaorana2 · 01/01/2018 12:30

London skyline melted, fizzed - silver and gold frothing over into the starry sky for hours. Outrageously beautiful. We had 7 sets of fireworks till 2am, Mr C wincing. Then at 230am - pushing it - a massive one exploded over our heads, poor little sod.

He's fine this morning. We said HNY to each other when we went for a wee at 4am. Now in Amazon Box. Well, he is, I am being sent to Tesco for chews.

cozietoesie · 01/01/2018 14:11

Tesco are open? Shock

Lanaorana2 · 01/01/2018 18:49

Sainsbury's was. Bought a month's worth to last till the end of the week.

Fluffycloudland77 · 01/01/2018 19:06

The small Tesco is open here too.

cozietoesie · 01/01/2018 19:09

Blimey.

Weedsnseeds1 · 01/01/2018 21:04

three cats surely, there's still poor Paws AKA The Little Match Cat to be sheltered and loved....

cozietoesie · 01/01/2018 21:39

Ah Yes. I'd almost forgotten about Little Match Cat. Sad

Ollivander84 · 01/01/2018 22:04

Paws was inside being sensible and sheltering from the rain Grin
Bizarrely Balls didn't appear to have balls. Either I'm going bonkers, he's had the snip or there's twin cats. Who knows around here

Ollie mostly opens an eye, goes "oh. Another cat" and shuts eye again

Weedsnseeds1 · 01/01/2018 22:34

It's amazing how big a fuzzy scrotum appears without any ummmm "filling"
You would assume mine had huge nuts, if you were strange enough to burrow through the floof, but there's nothing there!

Weedsnseeds1 · 01/01/2018 22:40

When you say "inside" olivander , do you mean you know for sure she was in a warm, loving home? Or are you assuming she's crouching in an unheated greenhouse, or a coal bunker, Wendy house?
You know, something COLD and UNWELCOMING?Sad

Ollivander84 · 01/01/2018 22:43

Oh looking very forlorn from the window of a toasty, heated, carpeted, 3 storey townhouse GrinWink
