Evening all, this is a new thread all about gorgeous Heidi, following on from the thread started by Gatekeeper.

We answered her thread call to give this tiny kitty a new home and we drove from Devon to Durham and back in 24hours to do so...

Now Heidi is settling well at our place after being looked after perfectly by Gatekeeper, and this thread is all about the new life of a very little and brave cat with the bushiest tale known to catkind!

If anyone can link to the original thread it would be much appreciated :)

I love her little mittens, she could have been crossed by a Birman or Ragdoll, she's gorgeous no matter what.

overnightangel · 28/11/2017 09:46

CannotEvenThink · 28/11/2017 09:53

pictures are lovely, I'm so pleased she has found such a good home.
This is my boy and the reason I couldn't take her even though I'm local to Gatekeeper.

Oh squuuuueeee!! I love this. What a lovely family you both are and have (Stew and Auntie Gate). I love to read stories of kind people. And I'm glad she is such a lovely cat that it is making it all the more worthwhile. Totally fate!

SteelyPip · 28/11/2017 10:31

Happy Days! sniff Grin

IceFall · 28/11/2017 11:44

So happy you took her! Well done @Gatekeeper and StewPots

SandysMam · 28/11/2017 11:49

I can’t believe you took her!! And drove all that way!! When I read the thread I thought yeah yeah yeah, that’ll never happen Blush
Brilliant outcome and lucky Heidi!

LadyOfTheCanyon · 28/11/2017 12:49

So many beautiful cats on this thread!

Heidi is adorable and such a lucky kitty too.

CassandraCross · 28/11/2017 13:34

Cannot what a magnificent specimen he is!

StewPots · 28/11/2017 14:43

@CannotEvenThink oh my! He's absolutely lush and also huge!! Love him :)

OP posts:
CannotEvenThink · 28/11/2017 14:48

He is indeed huge and lovely. My 5 year old carts him around the house like that all the time and the poor cat just dangles there with a resigned look on his face. He seems to have known right from when we got him 2 years ago that smallest boy was smaller and where he will bat the 10 year old if he pisses him off the 5 year old gets away with anything. He is keeping my lap warm as I type though sadly I need to think about picking the children up from school.

StewPots · 28/11/2017 14:49

Hi all, I had to go out for a few hours for a course this morning but Heidi was totally non fussed that I went. She watched me through the window then jumped on the sofa and she was still there when I got back! So that's heartening. She also appeared pleased to see me when I got back and was howling for more food. Strangely that is also what Harry used to do when we went out....I'm still convinced that he sent her to me....

@Gatekeeper I don't know if she's having a spurt but she had 3 pouches yesterday and two so far today! I've worked out her "I'm hungry" meow and it happens at 7am ish, 1pm ish and 6pm ish and I don't hear it after she's eaten!

She is now snoozing under the dining table again :)

Haha SandysMam yep I am actually that crazy Grinbut I knew she was meant to be here with me...still can't explain it. If I hadn't have gone through with this totally mental idea, I know someone else would have had her and I'd have regretted it.

There's something about her and how she's been since she arrived confirms that. It's like she's been here forever already Smile

StewPots · 28/11/2017 14:53

Cannot haha love a good lap warmer :) yes he is lovely and looks very relaxed indeed even though he's being carted round Grin

Am Watching the jo brand cat programme and thinking of you!!

overnightangel · 28/11/2017 20:11

@Cannot the look on his face while being carried is priceless!!
There should be a speech bubble coming out of his mouth saying
“This is my life now...” Smile

StewPots · 28/11/2017 20:19

sm40 oh I haven't watched any of that yet, will have to have a look :)
