Evening all, this is a new thread all about gorgeous Heidi, following on from the thread started by Gatekeeper.

We answered her thread call to give this tiny kitty a new home and we drove from Devon to Durham and back in 24hours to do so...

Now Heidi is settling well at our place after being looked after perfectly by Gatekeeper, and this thread is all about the new life of a very little and brave cat with the bushiest tale known to catkind!

If anyone can link to the original thread it would be much appreciated :)

StewPots · 04/03/2018 21:30

@Gatekeeper Haha she managed to somehow not get covered but I was just stroking her now and said to DH that I felt something crispy Grin

Brush time!!

@StewPots how is dear Heidi? Hope you’re all doing well.

StewPots · 21/03/2018 07:20

@AnotherPlaceAnotherTime She's great thank you! Remains very vocal and adventurous as ever, I wish I could put video up of her!

Here she is chasing snowflakes through the window when we had snow on Sunday :) apologies for the poor picture quality but you can hopefully see her. I had to get it from a video still.

Fletchasaurus · 22/03/2018 14:22

Oh I love her in the snow, so utterly cute! She looks so loved and happy!

Gatekeeper · 23/03/2018 12:58

TerfsUp · 23/03/2018 13:03

Nice to see news of Heidi and to hear that she is doing so well.

StewPots · 24/03/2018 09:25

@Gatekeeper haha yes she is...did attempt letting her out, one paw on the floor, nope, straight back in Grin
She is hours of entertainment though this cat woke me up at 5 meowing RIGHT in my face

Vinorosso74 · 01/04/2018 21:07

Toe floofs!!!

StewPots · 01/04/2018 22:47

Thanks @gussyfinknottle DD was just taking a random pic and got that! Makes her look like a vicious predator. When actually she's a softy and likes chasing insects and lights off phones ConfusedGrin

OP posts:
StewPots · 01/04/2018 22:48

@Vinorosso74 Haha I know right? She has them on all of her paws, they're going so long even though she's out most days when she can be bothered to leave the bed!

She lets me stroke them and sort of style them Grin

OP posts:
Gatekeeper · 02/04/2018 08:07

Oh my...she is the sweetest little cat and I love the floofs. If I tried styling any of Sherlocks fur he would turn my hand to mince!

StewPots · 02/04/2018 21:44

@Gatekeeper yep that's a lot of floof right there! How is dear Sherlock? Bless him!

Morning all,

Just thought I hadn't posted for a while so here's a quick update :)

Heidi continues to thrive and settle with us, she really is in her element. She's outside most days but only for an hour or so then straight back in.
However yesterday she stayed out for around 3 hours! We can see her from our windows and last night had windows open so could hear her "chatting" to a friendly black and white cat she was sat next to Grin.
Tried to get my phone to get a pic but something spooked them both because suddenly they both bolted for home!

We have nicknamed her "Floofer" which obviously has variations (Floof, Ultimate Floof) and honestly we're not crazy Grin
She eats everything, including stealing crisps (particularly wotsits) out of your hands, and she seems to have a mad half hour every day between 5-8 where she races up and down the stairs jumping on beds and even up our legs Grin

Anyway, here's Miss Floofer after her adventures yesterday, clearly quite knackered out!

gussyfinknottle · 20/04/2018 22:33

May the floof be with you. Ok, I just watched a Star Wars film Blush

MrsCatE · 20/04/2018 23:47

Gussy - it's almost May 4thWink
Lovely to read this story and much kudos to OP and Heidi's new slaves folk

StewPots · 20/05/2018 08:33

Morning all. Just realised it's been ages since I've been on this thread so thought I'd just write a little update Smile

Heidi cat (or Ultimate Supreme Floofer as she is now known) continues to thrive and do well. Since the warmer weather started, she has spent most of her time out and about, and has made a friend of sorts - a black and white cat that actually comes to our house calling for her, they then go off out the front together Grin

She also enjoys exploring the back garden and sunning herself at regular intervals, favourite place at the moment is right at the back on the rockery! At dusk she loves going out and hunting insects and leaping around in mid air trying to grab a moth Grin

But she still loves us (especially DD and I) despite the lures of the outside world, and the best thing is seeing her bound down the path to home meaowing her little head off to come back in. A very happy and contented little cat Smile

What a lovely update. I love seeing my cats enjoy the warmer weather outside, they seem so content. So pleased that Heidi is enjoying her life with you, I've said it before but what a lucky cat to have found you! Smile

ZincOxideEugenol · 20/05/2018 12:55

I followed both of the threads about Heidi, it's lovely to see her so happy and content. She's really found her place in the world and she's obviously loved to bits. Thank you for updating, really made me smile.

cozietoesie · 20/05/2018 15:26

I'm so pleased for you all. Smile
