Cat likes to sleep in my bed, dp doesn't want him there

Just wanted some opinions really ... my Siamese likes to sleep in my bed. He hates being shut downstairs but scratches the carpet if I shut the bedroom door. My bf stays over most nights (nearly always) and doesn't want the cat in bed with us.

It seems out of proportion to put the cat before my bf, I'm sure he thinks so anyway. But I feel sorry for my cat. He likes to always be with me. I have two other cats and he will curl up with them but they like to be out at night and tbh he'd prefer to be with me.

Wwyd?

When we got our cat DH had never had a cat before he asked where she was going to sleep and didn't understand why I laughed and said 'where ever she damn well pleases'.
She sleeps on my feet.

^ Mine tried 'heel!', 'down!' and 'No!' and looked confused when he was completely ignored it was me who climb up whilst soaking wet from the shower to rescue cat from potentially dangerous outlet from the top of the stove though

Animals do not belong in the bedroom, let alone IN bed!
That's your opinion.
Think ours would give us the stink eye if we even attempted to move them Grin

winkywinkybumbum adorable Smile

Not if you'd have disallowed it since they were a kitten, they wouldn't.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 06/08/2017 14:35

But where is the fun in that? No snuggly, fuzzy, purring fur balls in bed?

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 06/08/2017 14:45

I'd find more fun in an animal-free, hair-free non-smelly bed.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 06/08/2017 14:46

Cat farts don't smell as bad as human male farts in my experience and men snore rather than purr.

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 06/08/2017 14:49

If you have a farty, snoring husband that's your lookout.

Mine, thankfully, does not snore or fart in bed so that is not an issue.

(Your post is largely irrelevant though, as cats still smell and shed fur.)

YetAnotherSpartacus · 06/08/2017 14:51

Who has a husband? I'm waiting for the perfect cat :).

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 06/08/2017 14:54
Hmm
YetAnotherSpartacus · 06/08/2017 14:57

Actually, I lied. I'm so desperate I'd share my bed with anything with a tail and whiskers that could purr and go miaw.

ItsNachoCheese · 06/08/2017 14:57

I know this is about cats but my ddog is the same he likes to sleep in the bed beside me. Its a comfort thing for us both and hes like a furry hot water bottle in winter Grin

crazycatgal · 06/08/2017 15:07

Cats are cleaner than a lot of people are tbh, nothing better than getting into bed and one of my furry children joining me.

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 06/08/2017 15:10

People referring to their pets as their children? Yep, I'm hiding the thread now; that's too much crazy.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 06/08/2017 15:12

^ I think you'd have been better off not trying to join it all, frankly.

If it helps I don't see cats as children. I see them as my furry overlords.

crazycatgal · 06/08/2017 15:14

@WhatToDoAboutThis2017 I said 'furry children' what's your problem? It's obvious that you hate cats so go and get a hobby instead of going on about it.

kali110 · 06/08/2017 15:18

Our cats don't smell Hmm
If yours do, then that's a shame!
Your dh never farts? Lol ok!

YetAnotherSpartacusyep, warm snuggles with bums in faces Grin

YetAnotherSpartacus · 06/08/2017 15:20

^ you are making me jealous :(

kali110 · 06/08/2017 15:21

YetAnotherSpartacus
Mine clearly are the bosses, we are under no illusions who rules the roost Confused

YetAnotherSpartacus · 06/08/2017 15:22

^ as it should be - the natural order of things and all that.

SnickersWasAHorse · 06/08/2017 15:27

You can't come onto a thread in the Litter Tray section and complain that cats are smelly. or that some of us see them as our fur children

YetAnotherSpartacus · 06/08/2017 15:29

^ especially if you don't have a sense of humour

SnickersWasAHorse · 06/08/2017 15:50

And if you don't accept your subservient place to our feline overlords.

kali110 · 06/08/2017 17:37

subservient place to our feline overlords
Omg, i love that
