Currently in the middle of making arrangements to meet - he's a breed rescue - and yet to check over the house for 'breakability' issues etc. (He's only young - and it's a good few years since I had a cat that could potentially leap living with me.)

Yikes!!

I agree with that - a large part of why I left Brown Dog lying (oh so enticingly) on the floor. Smile

Cozie you may have to name change to Creature from the Black Lagoon Smile

Reading this thread has got me intrigued about Siamese cats now, I'd love to meet a very chatty one to hear what they're like and one that is in 'mood', do they give brilliant withering looks? Grin

Ollivander84 · 07/07/2017 12:46

This is stable cats best "look"
She is only part Siamese but seems to have taken to that side Grin
Very chatty, very unpredictable

Lanaorana2 · 07/07/2017 13:32

Terrifying. Grin

cozietoesie · 07/07/2017 13:34

That look is similar to the Siamese one signalling 'Be careful - I'm thinking about something.......' Grin

Pucinni giving me 'The Look!'

He just ate - in private - some ham for his lunch. Not ideal, I know, but I decided that it's better to cheer him up rather than hang tough on decent nosh. (His Country Hunter has just arrived via the carrier.)

I think probably anything is good at this point. Glad he's eating!

MaidenMotherCrone · 07/07/2017 15:58

This is Helga's ' I'm not amused and am plotting revenge' look.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 07/07/2017 16:03

Oh God,I'm so glad I don't have a Siamese,I'd be terrified!Grin

cozietoesie · 07/07/2017 16:11

Nah. You'd be fine. Smile They're desperately loyal and loving. And you become used to the .....conversation. Wink

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 07/07/2017 16:15

Nope, Pucinni is chatty and it drives me bonkers. I love him dearly but he's so LOUD!

cozietoesie · 07/07/2017 16:18

Ahhhh. Siamese can be ........beyond chatty. (Apart from this one who is still on Silent Running - in case the Creature gets him. Wink)

I tune Ollie out now. And watch TV with subtitles. And say "mmm" "uh huh" a lot Grin and I don't even know if he is Siamese

cozietoesie · 07/07/2017 16:22

It's my guess that he has Siamese in him. Smile

cozietoesie · 07/07/2017 16:22

That picture from the rescue? There was just something about it.

Wolfiefan · 07/07/2017 16:24

Too gorgeous for words. I grew up with two Burmese. Menaces of the neighbourhood. I have long hankered over a Siamese!

RubbishMantra · 07/07/2017 16:25

"I would be more sanguine if I didn't have the strong suspicion that my face was notionally imprinted on Brown Dog as he was beating it up" That thought may have flitted across my brain too... Still, best he works out his angst now rather than stores it up. He's at that intense/angry young man age after all. I have a feeling he's going to have a HUUUUGE personality, and it won't be long until he's waiting on your bed for a shared Sunday afternoon snooze...

Hello Lana! Some for ya! I have fond memories of this choon, and at least acid jazz isn't all sporadic like classic jazz, or the beeebahbadooOOoohwah nightmare unfortunately known as "scat".

Maybe NewBoy wants his photograph taken Cozie? Grin

TheCatOfAthenry · 07/07/2017 16:28

@cozietoesie have you tried meowing at him? That's how I settled Cookie when she came from the rescue.

I sort of wish I was joking, but it genuinely seemed to warm her up!

cozietoesie · 07/07/2017 16:32

Not yet. He's eating and using his tray so I'm letting him take his time on this one. I'm giving him a good week to adjust a bit more. Smile

His new cat tree thingy will be arriving on Monday as well. Smile

Complete 5-star treatment.

Thanks a mill M.

cozietoesie · 07/07/2017 19:19

He's just polished off most of a pouch of Country Hunter. Still not talking - and hiding - but he's obviously gritting his teeth and keeping going now. Smile

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 07/07/2017 19:21

I have no idea where he is. Sad

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 07/07/2017 19:53

I found a paw and a curl of tail so I can relax now. Grin
