Currently in the middle of making arrangements to meet - he's a breed rescue - and yet to check over the house for 'breakability' issues etc. (He's only young - and it's a good few years since I had a cat that could potentially leap living with me.)

Yikes!!

He is deliciously triangular.

LivingInMidnight · 29/08/2017 14:30

They last really well too. They don't do well with vomit though, that's the only time I've had to throw one away.

Lanaorana2 · 29/08/2017 15:05

He jumped on you in bed? Sorry to be a bore, finally blubbing.

cozietoesie · 29/08/2017 15:07

Well - I was under the duvet but Yes. He's a courageous lad.

I think he's challenging you to see what happens - nothing dreadful happened to him after the telling off after the Big wee. Just a firm scolding, then business as usual. The bounce on the bed while you were asleep, he got into a frenzy chasing imaginary stuff up the stairs, and in excitement forgot he was supposed to be keeping you at arms length.

What I'm trying to say is Newboy's no longer in a constance wary, watchful state, he's beginning to feel safe. Great least you and he have made! Smile

RubbishMantra · 29/08/2017 20:19

LEAPS not least!

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/08/2017 20:36

In a way your reprogramming the little lad aren't you?.

Does he like fleece? Asbo loves a fleece to lie on.

cozietoesie · 29/08/2017 20:47

I recall watching, many moons ago, a TV series about a zoo. The programme covered the Big Cats night keeper locking up for the night. I'm not saying he was 'lackadaisical' in securing the lions and tigers but there was something a little .....rote about the way he went about his business.

That all changed when he reached the leopard quarters. Every bolt was tested - twice - and every lock likewise. I recall his face.'Your leopards, you see - they're watching and thinking.' (Breath sucked in.)

Siamese are ........different. You have to hold the pass with a good dose of lurrrvvv but.......they're different.

In a way, I am Fluffy. Or at least giving him the environment, with luck, to let him do it himself.......

Lanaorana2 · 29/08/2017 21:32

I get Siamese are different and that the mere common-or-garden cat enthusiast such as myself doesn't understand them. But you do, and that's what matters. I reckon he is testing you as well, however. Glad to congratulate you on passing your SATs (CATs hahahah) :)

Glad you're not in London, muggy as hell, Mr C has not moved from Box all day. Or maybe it's my awful jokes.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 29/08/2017 21:39

I once was eating some pringles in bed as a snack watching a film. Ollie jumped off the bed and reappeared with a raw chicken wing and proceeded to dump it on the duvet to eat. Apparently he wanted a snack too

I'm trying to imagine a world in which Ollie isn't allowed to snack in bed ...

Ollivander84 · 29/08/2017 21:40

He is very much NOT allowed
It was the way he tucked himself up and plonked the chicken wing on his paw like "I have snacks too!" Had to do my best no bloody way voice while trying not to laugh

cozietoesie · 29/08/2017 21:47

Oh you'd understand them - as much as anyone can, Lana. Grin

YetAnotherSpartacus · 29/08/2017 21:48

Poor oppressed Ollie! :).

Lanaorana2 · 29/08/2017 22:59

Ollie, snackmeister general - oh, but of course he's not allowed.

And neither is Newboy the Midnight Chicken Cowboy. :)

VittysCardigan · 29/08/2017 22:59

Please start another thread! I have been lurking reading since the beginning & love finding out how Newboy is doing

cozietoesie · 29/08/2017 23:48

At the moment, he's racing up and down stairs.

It's nearing midnight and he's becoming antsy. Grin

Midnight, of course, being Chicken Time. Wink
