Currently in the middle of making arrangements to meet - he's a breed rescue - and yet to check over the house for 'breakability' issues etc. (He's only young - and it's a good few years since I had a cat that could potentially leap living with me.)

Yikes!!

He will judge you anyway. Why not! Wink

cozietoesie · 06/07/2017 22:51

He's just finished off a tube of Lick E Lix (spread out on a dish.) So he may be clever but his taste is in his boots. (Vile stuff that it is.)

To me, anyway! Grin

You're right, though. He will judge me. (And in fact, he seems to have started already! Wink)

Clever kitty Grin why won't my cat eat it?!

cozietoesie · 06/07/2017 22:57

Seniorboy loved it. SmileEvery evening, he would have a tube for his mid-evening snack. (Spread out on a dish.)

Ollivander84 · 06/07/2017 22:58

Stable cat eats it straight from the tube, Ollie won't touch it Confused

cozietoesie · 06/07/2017 23:00

I'm only surprised that Stablecat doesn't eat the tube as well! Grin

She tried. I got a claw for not squeezing it fast enough Hmm
Apparently she cleaned a mayonnaise jar the other day by wiping her paw around the inside and then licking it off

cozietoesie · 06/07/2017 23:15

I'm hoping that the Lick E Lix will put him in mind of eating again.......

Siamese are quite capable of doing the whole 'Death, where is thy sting?' thing if they're deeply unhappy. And the problem is that there's been no ......interregnum of sorts. He wouldn't have realised the trouble that he was in - he's just (in his mind) gone from living with his Person to being cared for by the Creature from the Black Lagoon.

Much of this is the 'Woe is me' bit therefore. I have to try to break into that potentially vicious spiral.

I hear a sound of movement. Smile

I'm so excited!

TheCatOfAthenry · 06/07/2017 23:20

Bet he'll be a cuddle monster eventually.

cozietoesie · 06/07/2017 23:22

He's very gentle, certainly. Smile

Glowering sounds promising, better than cowering.

Hopefully the Lik-E-Lix will be a feline amuse bouche for NewBoy. My boys often head towards the food bowl after a treat.

cozietoesie · 07/07/2017 01:05

He's certainly brave. Fingers crossed he'll do dome eating after lights-out.

Many years ago a friend had rather lovely (wasn't really, but was blumming expensive) textured hessiany wallpaper. How she laughed - bitterly- as she watched her new Siamese race up the curtains then scramble horizontally across the wall............

Fluffycloudland77 · 07/07/2017 08:57

Oh lord I remember those wall papers. What on earth were we thinking?.

chemenger · 07/07/2017 09:45

We had that hessian wall paper, we were forever plucking kittens off it as they scrambled all over it. Better than curtains for running up. It must be time for it to be revived, most ot the other monstrosities from that era have come back.

Mantra how brilliant to see you. Will PM ya.

Cozie hope you and Newboy kipped ok. What about a sitdown and a movie? Okja on netflix, about a giant pig, is outrageously good. I had to wikpedia the plot I got so excited.

OH dear me - I was booked on local radio to talk about my new book (which doesn't exist, really, I've been distracted with other fine works.)
At the time I said to them can you plug my mate's gig up the road. He's reformed a 'seminal 90s group'. Apparently - I thought acid jazz was a drink for teens, but apparently I'm wrong there too.
Crossed wires at Radio Amateur & I've been booked to 'discuss the UK's underground 90s scene IN DEPTH AS AN EXPERT' Grin Grin Grin Mantra where are you in my hour of need Grin Grin Grin

cozietoesie · 07/07/2017 10:29

A small bowl of chopped roast chicken polished off during the night. Smile

I decided to retrieve one of .Seniorboy's imported toys - a small brown dog with large floppy ears - so left it lying in the upstairs sitting room after hauling it out of the 'bag'. Boy was that taking some punishment last night - I lay in bed to sounds of 'Kerboom' and 'Kerash' during the darkness. (Plus there was another pee and a small poo in the tray. (Smile))

That is really excellent news. Newboy is playing! The first playtime!!

Roast chicken really is soul food, eh wot. I reckon you might have Pet Contact today.

Have crossed everything for you here. Slightly tired - Mr C trampolined my face at 430, shouting his breakfast order. He got told to FO. We're on chewsticks and lying down now. As I hope you will be shortly :)

cozietoesie · 07/07/2017 10:49

I would be more sanguine if I didn't have the strong suspicion that my face was notionally imprinted on Brown Dog as he was beating it up.

Hey Ho. Grin

Noooo, he was just releasing tension. Very healthy Grin
