Currently in the middle of making arrangements to meet - he's a breed rescue - and yet to check over the house for 'breakability' issues etc. (He's only young - and it's a good few years since I had a cat that could potentially leap living with me.)

Yikes!!

It's surprisingly difficult even with a mostly pale cat. They seem to have this 'cloak of invisibility' which they put on. As a kitten, and much smaller, he'd have been quite impossible to find.

I sang to Ollie once. He gave me his best horrified face and jumped out the window to go outside Sad

cozietoesie · 06/07/2017 14:07

Ah. Grin

I've just seen him - although I pretended not to have noticed him. Wink

Ahhhh Cozie - how have I not come across this thread before now! Welcome, welcome [Star] NewBoy [Star]

I seem to have something in my eye.....Grin

Can't wait to see photos!

Wolfiefan · 06/07/2017 14:18

No. I see no Siamese! Good luck with the vet. Vet and Siamese? Two words that strike fear into the heart of any cat owner! Grin

user1496484020 · 06/07/2017 14:20

Sounds like a game of cat and mouse except you're the cat!

FunSpunge · 06/07/2017 14:26

Cozie, I am so blummin jealous of your new addition, even though he is being rather elusive!
I give him another 48 hrs of hiding! There is only so much chatter a Siamese can hold in 😬

I can't wait to see photos of the handsome chap!

I am desperate for another as I still miss my boy terribly but can't get one until we find a new house Sad

cozietoesie · 06/07/2017 14:29

He's got himself behind a couple of Kutani cats on a shelf in the upstairs sitting room. (Good camouflage! They're large pieces.)

OP posts:
Wolfiefan · 06/07/2017 14:42

Ripe for tipping off the shelf if you say "vet" out loud or act in any other way unbecoming to a cat slave!

cozietoesie · 06/07/2017 14:46

There is that. (And they're valuable pieces.) Clever boy! Grin

Wolfiefan · 06/07/2017 15:42

Siamese are! You know that Grin

Lanaorana2 · 06/07/2017 16:41

I shouldn't think this is any help, but if Mr C ever goes missing I mew piteously. He rolls up or mews back as I howl to the moon.

What am I saying? Something tells me Newboy is a cool customer :)

cozietoesie · 06/07/2017 16:48

Maybe when he's a bit used to me, Lana. He still thinks I'm the Creature from the Black Lagoon! Grin

OP posts:
Lanaorana2 · 06/07/2017 16:58

He'll revise his opinion sharpish, I reckon :)

It's over 90 here. We're both melting. Mr C had palpitations last night, but he's ok now. Dreaming of taking him to live in the country with fields and a stream for him to fish in.

cozietoesie · 06/07/2017 16:59

Over 90. Blimey. We're cool enough for me to have the electric blanket on.

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 06/07/2017 17:58

I'm waiting for him to go somewhere else now so that I can remove the Kutani cats. I plain forgot about them.

OP posts:
Fluffycloudland77 · 06/07/2017 18:56

MrC would LOVE the country. Local cider.

cozietoesie · 06/07/2017 19:35

I had a half pint of real scrumpy once. (Tasted like ditchwater.) it had the most unusual effect - hard to describe but I can only put it as being drunk from the knees down. I'm trying hard to imagine Mr C with the same stuff taken. Grin

OP posts:
HemanOrSheRa · 06/07/2017 20:29

I can send you some Scrumpy if you like cozie and Lana. Maybe not Grin.

cozietoesie · 06/07/2017 21:54

Best not. I have to stay very sober indeed to deal with The Glowering One. Grin

OP posts:
Ollivander84 · 06/07/2017 21:58

He will be skulking and plotting. And wondering when is too soon to start shouting his list of demands Grin

cozietoesie · 06/07/2017 22:11

The glowering covers a multitude of bad thoughts, I think. His glances feel like daggers.

OP posts:
Ollivander84 · 06/07/2017 22:12

You can always feel their eyes on you. Or a claw, if you're stable cat

cozietoesie · 06/07/2017 22:14

In fact, maybe I should get very merry indeed to deal with him.
