Currently in the middle of making arrangements to meet - he's a breed rescue - and yet to check over the house for 'breakability' issues etc. (He's only young - and it's a good few years since I had a cat that could potentially leap living with me.)

Yikes!!

It's his first time with me..........

You may find that's his Kryptonite. He may like valerian too. You need to have a malfunctioning nose to allow it in the house though. It's very stinky.

cozietoesie · 27/08/2017 14:49

How stinky do you mean? Grin

Cailleach1 · 27/08/2017 16:26

Great. He is spreading into his new home. He must be feeling more relaxed, overall.

RubbishMantra · 27/08/2017 17:06

Well cozie, if you spent 6 months wearing wellies full of gorgonzola and kippers, that's the smell. Envy

cozietoesie · 27/08/2017 17:14

Oh. Sad

Lanaorana2 · 27/08/2017 21:26

Back of the net!!!!!!

Valerian is a stroke of genius M & the pills don't honk as much as the sprigs.

cozietoesie · 27/08/2017 21:43

He's quite cheerful today. And peeing impeccably so far. Grin

OP posts:
Ollivander84 · 27/08/2017 21:46

Cheerful? Ooh he's plotting WinkGrin
Stable cat is always cheerful after she's had a snack slaughtered something

cozietoesie · 27/08/2017 21:52

I once grew some coriander but made the mistake of handling the seed before it was ripe. The memory of the smell had me vomiting for days - and I have a strong stomach, normally.

(I had to ask a friend to come and root out/burn the plants for me. I couldn't face it.)

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 27/08/2017 21:52

PS - hence Valerian may not be for me.

Stay with the catnip, I would. M gets the bravery medal for herbs tho'.

Cracking news about the good mood as well.

cozietoesie · 27/08/2017 22:32

Off to warm the soup.

Lightly. Grin

Lanaorana2 · 27/08/2017 23:20

Off to snort.

Heavily. Grin

Aaaaah congratulations! We have a rescue chocolate point Siamese too, he's got some neurological problems and is blind in one eye (vet thinks due to some sort of accident when he was a kitten possibly?) but still a fierce hunter, and has got the Siamese wail down to a fine art! He's terrified of being approached by anyone, and won't let anyone near him unless it's on his terms, but if he decides the situation is safe, then he turns into a scarf and is the sloppiest, most affectionate cat I've ever known! Well, until we got our Sphynx anyway, but he's an entirely different thread all by himself Grin

Ollivander84 · 27/08/2017 23:48

He's got you firmly under the paw Grin
I'm reading this away from Ollie before he gets ideas about lightly warmed food

cozietoesie · 27/08/2017 23:55

I wondered about his eyesight actually. I've left a couple of lights on for the past two nights and it seems to have improved things for him. (Seniorboy had failing eyesight but that was just extreme age - nothing to be done.)

Sending off for prescription Balenciaga Autumn 17 geek chic range, more like.

Lanaorana2 · 28/08/2017 11:15

Meant cat's-eye frames, obv.

RubbishMantra · 28/08/2017 11:42

Not brave enough to have the foul stuff in the house though L! It got flung into the garden as if it was a live grenade. I don't like coriander either cozie. Very sensible you were ridding your garden of it.
I'm glad the young lad's getting happy. Does he like music? Justin Beiber goes down well with Little M, Mcat prefers depressing operas. And if you think Newboy could have issues with his sight, you could try one of those plug in night lights, we had them round the house for our ancient staffie who had v. little vision and it certainly helped her.

cozietoesie · 28/08/2017 12:58

I went in to the bedroom last night after spending a couple of minutes in the bathroom and he was in the middle of the bed. He looked a bit shocked at his own temerity and skedaddled sharpish - but still.......(That bed is Pure Creature')

Have you tried MCat on Mahler, Mantra? It sounds like a marriage made in heaven. Smile

Brilliantissimo. Maybe put a sweet or two on there while you are on it.
