I have taken the liberty of making a new thread! Maisie and Freya are relaxing in a patch of sun

Layla has gone from being a model to eating half a slug and throwing it back up all over the living room carpet Envy

Want2beme · 24/05/2017 09:25

Albadross love him. Who is he?

TheCatOfAthenry · 24/05/2017 12:56

Leroy is having a nap. He had to to the vets on Monday... and yesterday... and again earlier on today... poor sod.

He's had an antibiotic injection and he's got anti-inflammatory meds to take for 5 days, but he shouldn't have to go back now. Thank god. I'm a bit poor now!!!

Ndn cat sleeps like that on their trampoline.

I once lost ours in a rolled up duvet, I was about to ring Dh yo say the cat was dead when I thought yo check the quilt.

Ollivander84 · 24/05/2017 17:47

Cats protection (I sent them the pic) tried to tell me he had been watching the John Lewis ad and was getting fit for summer
It might have been more convincing if his eyes had been open and he wasn't snoring Hmm

glastogal · 24/05/2017 17:52

Since I got upduffed, this very independent Thundercat has become a total lapwuss ♥️

Fluffy Grin Grin Grin Grin

I am back, released by NHS until tomorrow. They forgot to do a pre-op check and thanks to the cornucopia of my dull ailments they won't get the machete out until I get prodded again.

But....they want to operate on a bank hol. I think I've read too much Daily Mail on this subject, plus they nearly killed Dad on a bank hol, so I've got the willies now. (Not why they're operating Grin) Can anyone talk some sense into me?

cozietoesie · 24/05/2017 17:57

It's a technically straightforward op. You should be fine.

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/05/2017 17:59

Nope. I wouldn't be keen on that either. Depends if it's a locum surgeon I suppose.

Lanaorana2 · 24/05/2017 18:11

Apparently they have enough nurses, so shall I check for the surgeon? Mine is a brilliant man who charges millions an hour at the Lister, I reckon I should make sure it's him.

Not to put too fine a point on it, at 49 I sort of want to make sure I can have sex again and stuff. In that staggeringly unlikely event, admittedly.

On the upside, Mr C has been stuffed full of crunchy topping and is rather pleased with himself that I am back. Have put pet nanny off till tomorrow who luckily hadn't set off yet.

Albadross · 24/05/2017 18:19

Want2 his name is Leo Smile he's a bit dim but bless him he is very cute! And soppy too. Has to be on me all the time and gets a bit stroppy with DH as you can see....

caoraich · 24/05/2017 18:30

Lana if they're doing it on a BH it may well be under waiting list initiative = well-staffed theatre, calm, and no-one getting dragged off to see emergencies as it's essentially run as it's own separate unit under WLI. Back when I was a mini-doc working in hospitals the WLI assisting shifts used to get snapped up- compared to standard surgical locums the pay was lower but you had half a chance of leaving on time, getting to operate uninterrupted and having a chance to eat. It beat a locum on acute surgical admissions hands down.
personal opinion disclaimer

Today I had some cat grass seeds delivered. I planted them. Freya promptly ate the soil Confused

Some .......interesting poos later on? Wink

Lanaorana2 · 24/05/2017 18:39

Freya's my kind of gal. I plant 2 pots at once, incidentally, having had this event before. Mr C loves being sick grass at 701am if I am late staggering to kitchen to serve his breakfast.

Thanks a million, I will ask. I know I sound nervy but Dad had 7 weeks in hosp after a New Year's Eve op and his heart stopped 3x a month after the first surgery (had x4 repair jobs in theatre after the first one for his appendix).

jmscp2015 · 24/05/2017 18:40

Jem is having tummy tickles

I've not seen the others since returning from work..

Sev managed to get onto the top shelf. Not by gracefully jumping like Felix, but by climping from level to level like a little monkey.

Having done that he helped me do the ironing.

The last time I saw mine she was asleep on the top of my wardrobe so I tiptoed out. Let's see how she gets on with the cat sitter for four days. I'm dreading it TBH but not as much as seeing my dying dad tomorrow after 7 years of not seeing him.

caffeinestream · 24/05/2017 22:36

cozietoesie · 24/05/2017 22:55

You'll be OK once you get there, Each. I'm sure I won't be alone in thinking of you, though.

RickOShay · 24/05/2017 23:03

Could I join in please? Here are Sapphire and Blue Moon, I love them, they only notice me if i I am holding a packet of dreamies.
