Anyone snuck three dogs into center parcs

Has anyone snuck an extra dog into center parcs? Really want to book one lodge for myself, husband, daughter and parents but we have three dogs between us.

Two of the dogs are same breed so could pass as one, but I’m working out how to you get past the entrance? Do they record number of dogs in each car?

I would hide the smallest one but she’s noisy 😆 so it would be our largest one who would need hiding as she’d keep quiet.

It’s two labradors and Jack Russell. Just seems expensive to pay for a whole extra lodge just to accommodate a dog!

Two dogs are same breed. Daughter takes one a walk outside of the park. You and other check in with two dogs, then one stays with one in cabin drives out and gets Daughter with other dog?

Maybe not much use but we smuggled our parakeet in many years ago.
We thought we had got away with it until one day as we walked back to our lodge we saw a few people outside looking up at the upstairs window.
Said parrot was singing Old Macdonald Had a Farm at the top of his voice through the slightly open window 😅

No way!?!? 😆 this is hilarious

That’s what I’m thinking we’ll be in two cars as well but just feels high risk

This doesn’t help with your question per se but we always book with Forest holidays rather than centre parcs as they allow up to 4 dogs.
Its now our happy place so thought it was worth a mention!

bitmiffed26 · 10/07/2026 20:04

I’d never take my dog to center parcs.

I’d say there are much more dog tolerant, than dog friendly.

there’s barely any areas in the grounds that you can actually take them.

I’d either a) go and find other arrangements for the dogs or b) go somewhere that’s more welcoming to dogs. And that’s not a slight on CP, I love it there.

It’s not really a great place for dogs. There is only a few places you can exercise the dogs and very few buildings you can take them in.

do you have recommendations for other places? We’ve never taken dogs before but have seen them when we’re there

I snuck DBx2 into centre parks in 2016 😂

No I think it would work.Good luck!

Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain · 10/07/2026 20:06

Why are you hiding a dog? Just say you have 2 medium sized dogs and a small one and they’ll fit fine in your pre booked lodge. Offer to pay a nominal extra price for an extra dog but not extra lodge as you don’t need that. I’m sure they’re reasonable. Better do that than lie.

I don’t, sorry. We have a camper van so outside of CP we tend to stick to campsites.

I thought this too from remembrance.

I may try this as more than happy to pay extra just not a whole lodge extra

I know someone who paid for one but took two, they didn't check and the second one was kind enough to stay quiet. The check in staff don't get out of their hut in my experience to check anything it is all done through your window.

sittingonabeach · 10/07/2026 20:07

You have probably seen families who have taken dogs for the first time and then realise it’s a really shit place to take them and never take them again!

Please accept my sincerest apologies for being a “dickhead”

Instead of apologising, just don’t be one.

There are options to taking 3 dogs on holiday. It just costs. If you don’t want to pay, you need to look at other options like putting one dog in kennels, accepting less activities and going to a different site or a cottage. I don’t know why you’re quite capable of ringing a place in Devon but can’t ring centre parcs to just ask and instead think it’s better to sneak a dog in.

Most places have a limit on the number of dogs to limit any potential damage. Now I know you’ll say your dogs are well behaved but you’re also trying to smuggle a labrador (famously known for being stealthy, very dainty) into centreparcs. So you’re in the same group of people that would take 3 poorly trained dogs.

StrongandNorthern · 10/07/2026 20:08

Why can't you just follow the bloody rules?
What you want to do is dishonest and selfish, and you are hoping people will condone it.

You've never been to CP - they are quite rule orientated.

This is why people think all dog owners are dickheads.

If you want to take 3 dogs but don’t want to pay for two cabins, you’ll need to look at sites that allow 3 dogs and compromise on some of the activities that centreparcs offers.

This.

Ah okay that must be what I’ve seen, maybe we will just go to our usual place again just fancied a change

We went once and, genuinely, accidentally missed the dog off. They absolutely check on your way in and very almost didn't let us in.

Buildingthefuture · 10/07/2026 20:11

Here’s an idea…..just pay for the dogs you actually want to take?
I own multiple dogs, I don’t try to “ sneak” them in anywhere. My dogs, my responsibility. And yes, you are in fact being a dickhead. If you can’t afford the dogs you have, I’d suggest you don’t have them.
