Which dog stops you in your tracks?

Like if you're out and you see a dog - what dog would make you stop and stare?

For me it's a pure black or pure white standard poodle properly clipped out. I think they're gorgeous.

I love all hounds but saluki's are my favourite. I get stopped a lot with my dog because most people don't know what he is. The best guess was a little girl who thought he was a beagle great Dane cross. He is a Fox hound

Sausage dogs all day every day. Oh and springer spaniels. Any other dog I’d walk past without a care.

Newfies - I love them. Great big cuddly bears in dog form.

I couldn't ever own one - too much hair, drool and poo to deal with - but I absolutely love to meet one when out and about.Newfoundland dogs are sublime.

Any happy dog running.

Am easily pleased, but sadly dogless.

I have a Samoyed and we get accosted on most walks. She absolutely loves the attention

Oh forever samoyed's get me every time, so beautiful. And German shepherds , border collies

Any very large breed, Newfoundland, Great Danes, but I also love Huskies and Rottweilers. Chocolate labs and scruffy looking dogs gain my attention too!

Agree with golden retrievers because I lost my GR boy last year and miss him so much. But realistically I want to pet ALL the dogs. Definitely don’t show me a puppy.

Boxer dogs.
German Shepherds . I own 2 boxers now and previously had German Shepherds. Both wonderful breeds.

English Setter.
I grew up with one and adore them, never seem to see them much.

Bermese mountain dogs. I wish...

My twin red cavapoochons get a ridiculous amount of attention. Sometimes it gets too much for DH and I when we just want a quiet drink at the pub 😂 people ask to have photographs taken with them regularly.

They are beautiful and extremely cute though 😊

You definitely get more attention with unusual breeds. We have a Basset Hound and we get stopped a lot, or you hear ‘oh look, a basset’. You know a breed is rarely seen when people think it’s a dachshund!

I very rarely see Great Danes and I adore them, so stop and stare at those. Love Bloodhounds too but rarely see those either.

I live near a vets, a VERY busy vets, so I get to see so many different dogs! The other day there was this very cute little thing, it puzzled me so I asked the owner is it a basset dachshund cross? He was open mouthed... he said no one ever gets it right! I was surprised because it was so much like each it was a vision of both melding!

Much cuter than that combi sounds like it could be too!!

red setters, afghan hounds, whippets, salukis, lurchers - all so graceful

@MumofSpud aww look at him 😍. We lost our springer 2 years ago sadly. We got a rescue spaniel since. He’s half springer half cavalier

Rottweilers are beautiful looking dogs, and Alsatians as well.

Cavaliers, I just love their characters and always wish I knew more.
Also Irish wolf hounds just to admire!

Vizslas! We have one and me and the kids always get unreasonably excited if we see another one out and about😂

Italian greyhounds. They are perfection

Irish setters are just so beautiful. Although realistically I'll pet ANYTHING that doesn't look inclined to take my thumb off. I met a basset last week and he was a big soppy thing who was leaning against my leg demanding nonstop pets within minutes.

I met a Caucasian Shepherd the other day and that one stopped me in my tracks because bigods it was the size of a small pony.

I love them all.
