My pup was castrated yesterday due to a lost testicle - we were advised this was sensible as it could cause cancer in later life if not removed. I collected him from the vets at 2pm and he has been vomiting ever since - all through the night, all day today. He can't even keep water down. He is clearly disorientated and occasionally gets up and tries to run somewhere before falling over.
I am so worried and upset. I've called the vets and am taking him at 3:30 but sat here and just wanted some support really before i go.

SO happy he is coming home, I've read the whole thread heart in mouth. Am truly shocked at the first vet. Am glad you are taking it further, he really should be struck off.

LEMmingaround · 21/02/2014 18:10

LEMmingaround · 21/02/2014 18:11

it didn't surprise me to read that there had been other complaints about that vet - you go for the juggular and don't let go!!

Tiredemma · 21/02/2014 18:20

furlinedsheepskinjacket · 21/02/2014 19:12

Wordsaremything · 21/02/2014 19:23

Such good news! Have followed this from the start and have been thinking of you all today. You sound a lovely family and I do hope all continues well. And good luck with your action against shitvet. I could barely believe what I was reading. Keep us posted. Woof wag and lick!

shallweshop · 21/02/2014 19:52

Ah, that's brilliant NC Smile. Shit vet needs to be struck off to avoid him doing this to another poor innocent animal! Really hope your boy makes a complete recovery. Enjoy your puppy cuddles the weekend.

permaquandry · 21/02/2014 20:56

Yay! Fab news, big squidges to snoopy. Hope you get the support and answers you need. I've a feeling this little doggie is a fighter.

Aked · 21/02/2014 20:56

DramaAlpaca · 21/02/2014 21:18

That's great news Smile

mrsharkness2 · 21/02/2014 22:16

That is great news! Ive experienced having to leave a sick dog at the vets and its heartbreaking. Totally different circumstances to yours but we nearly lost our precious boy last may.

We had been in this situation years ago when we lost our gorgeous TT after an RTA and hated not having a dog in the house and so this time as we were convinced our boy was on the way out, started puppy hunting.
So pleased to say that our old boy has made a great recovery (from pancreatitis!) but we also now have a gorgeous girl, 7 months old who has given him a new lease of life :-))
Sending good vibes your way. I'm sure 'little' is enjoying lots of cuddles tonight..
xx

Christmascandles · 21/02/2014 22:38

Yay, just checked in here and I'm so pleased I did Grin

What wonderful news you must all be so delighted. Go Snoopy Grin

But don't forget to give that first vet what he deserves......

namechange74 · 21/02/2014 22:45

Hello all, thanks so much for your lovely messages, Snoop Dawg is a happy chappy and has been on the sofa in front of the fire with us all night. We have stroked him to baldness! He's horribly thin, shockingly so but did eat his special food eventually - i had to feed him it on a spoon as his collar thing is so massive (still has to have it on due to the very shonky stitches) he can't get his face to his bowl, plus i'm not sure he likes it really but must be hungry - hoping he gets used to it, he has to really!

Very much looking forward to taking him for a walk in the morning, we will probably only do 30 minutes as he's a bit weak and as i said, very thin, but he does love a walk.

Mrssharkness so glad to hear your boy recovered, surely that's one you believe you won't come out of?! great news.

Much love all,

xx

ps Snoopy is sleeping in our room tonight. Mr NC is suddenly a little bit more relaxed about it Grin

Tiredemma · 22/02/2014 07:40

how was his first night back at home NC?

namechange74 · 22/02/2014 07:59

Morning, thank you for asking Grin
Restless would be an apt description, he was on his bed in our room but because he has this gigantic collar on, kept crashing into the chest of drawers! We took the collar off about half an hour ago as it must be so heavy on his little neck, he's just licked himself everywhere and is now lying on my stomach asleep. Bless him.

We will take him for a quick walk soon then I'm going to bath him, he seems desperate to be clean and he really is smelly from all the vomiting Hmm

Gileswithachainsaw · 22/02/2014 08:04

Aw does he like baths?

Those collars can be annoying bless him. I hope he enjoys his walk
