Outlander season 7

The good news is that the the bad news is that season 7 won't be here until summer.

I've not actually read the books beyond volume 4 so don't know what's going to happen, but I presume Claire will live and she and Jamie will carry on as two of the hottest and youngest-looking sixtysomethings to ever hit our screens!

No idea, rather hoping it will go back to Prime. Hopefully we will here something soon.

Munchyseeds2 · 19/12/2023 19:46

Yes let's hope it goes back to prime....

verityswims · 19/12/2023 19:54

I cancelled my lions gate subscription after the last episode aired.

Is Outlander back in January does anyone know?

Maggiesgirl · 24/03/2024 06:35

It seems Season 7 part 2 is not out till November and still nothing on where we will be able to watch it in the UK, although you can still get it through Lionsgate apparently.

nonumbersinthisname · 24/03/2024 10:18

Plenty of time between now and November for the UK broadcast/streaming rights to be sorted.

Munchyseeds2 · 02/04/2024 18:31

It will be on MGM+ apparently as part of prime.
I'm sure it's another add on you need to pay for!

It was already on Lionsgate, which you paid extra for on top of Prime. Lionsgate is being integrated into MGM, so you get all the Lionsgate and MGM stuff for 4.49 a month. If you were already paying to watch Outlander, you won't be paying any extra.

Maggiesgirl · 03/04/2024 19:34

I cancelled Lionsgate and have been treating myself to buying a season a month to keep.

Will sign up again for MGM in November.

Just in case anyone is interested, Richard Rankin who plays Roger is starring in a new BBC detective show called Rebus. Based on novels by Ian Rankin.
Set in Edinburgh of course! 😅

I binged Rebus all day yesterday. It's very good. I hope they do another season.

Maggiesgirl · 19/11/2024 23:42

I thought Series 7B started on Friday 22nd, but on the One Show tonight they said it was on Saturday, anyone know which day?

Munchyseeds2 · 22/11/2024 10:48

I think tonight but I haven't checked....never been Sat before

Shinyandnew1 · 22/11/2024 11:27

It’s back-hooray!

What extra channel do I need to buy to watch this?!

blibblibs · 22/11/2024 16:43

You need MGM through prime. I managed to get it for 99p for the first three months but I checked earlier and it's not on yet. I have recapped season 7A though.

Maggiesgirl · 22/11/2024 17:00

All set for tomorrow. DH on nights so will get in at 7, I will get up as he goes to bed and watch it with my breakfast 😄

WhyDoesItAlways · 22/11/2024 18:14

Can I just check, is this the last part of the final series? I watched until it got moved onto a channel I didn't have and decided to wait until they released the last series before signing up to whatever channel it's on and binging the lot from season 1.

Snozzlemaid · 22/11/2024 18:19

As far as I know this is the second part of season 7 and there will then be season 8 at some point.

KiIIingMeDeftly · 22/11/2024 22:45

I settled down to watch it as I ate dinner and...I discovered it's going to be showing on Saturdays now! I'm sure it was a Friday last year.

Thank you! I can’t find the 99p deal any more. Are they showing them weekly or all at once? Maybe I’ll wait till they’ve all been shown and then pay for a month.

KiIIingMeDeftly · 22/11/2024 23:31

Weekly. I think the 99p offer expired last weekend, unfortunately. But keep an eye out during the week as they might do a Black Friday offer.

According to news reports the release time is Friday8pm EST which means 1am Sat in the UK.

I started a thread about this series last week, not realising this thread was still active, so unfortunately similar posts are being made.

I've decided as part 1 of 7 wasn't up to much, and to save money I will subscribe to Prime + MGM+ in mid december, to catch up on early part of 7.2 and see through to the end.

If most of the die hard fans want to continue commenting on each new episode here, I will add a post to the new thread to suggest others join.

Outlander season 7 part 2 - Friday 22 November 2024 - Prime (UK) Starz (US) | Mumsnet

Have no idea of times or anything, but just saw this as Sam Heughan was on the BBC One show. (I didn't watch in case of spoilers!) [[https://www.bbc....

Munchyseeds2 · 23/11/2024 17:30

Just watched it and enjoyed it as much as ever, I love the way everything is interlinked

MoChridhe · 23/11/2024 19:11

I loved Rogers's monologue 🤣

Maggiesgirl · 23/11/2024 22:35

Loved it. Didn't mind the new Jenny thought she did a good job.

Loved Laoghaire, still as bitter, but finding some solace.

Missed Jenny not laughing at the sight of Young Ian before hugging him, as in the books.

Thought it would have been move believable if Claire was called back my Marsali to operate on Henri Christian as per books.

Looking forward to next week's.

KiIIingMeDeftly · 24/11/2024 10:11

That was a fitting start. Loved Roger's "oh Jesus's Christ" at the end! New Jenny was fine but I really miss Laura Donnelly in the role.

Claire rushing off to Philadelphia seemed a bit strange as it's not like she could hop on a jumbo jet and be there in a matter of hours. John's letters to her have been going around the houses for weeks and it'll take another several weeks for her to sail from Scotland to America. What's the guarantee that his nephew will survive that long?
