I have it on good authority that they are filming an episode of Dr Who at Cardiff prison key words 'The Master's wife'!!

Maybe it does explode and then she wanders around like that all episode? It would eat up the special effects budget, though.

It does rather suggest that Ten should perhaps have thought a bit more deeply about it at the end of S4 before deciding that enforced amnesia was his only option.

KayHarkerIsPlayingWithMitchell · 02/04/2009 08:54

I think that un-straightforward regeneration is sort of supposed to be a theme of these last few episodes, isn't it? You-know-who returning and not neccessarily having her head explode would fit in with that.

After all, despite everything, it wouldn't be the first time the Doctor has got it arse-over-tit wrong, would it? It's only his enormous ego that assumes he's right all the time.

gizmo · 02/04/2009 08:58

See what????

The trailer? What? What?

KayHarkerIsPlayingWithMitchell · 02/04/2009 09:03

You know what I love about Planet of the Dead already? It's clearly going to start on a London bus, and then it gets moved to a completely different planet.

Given that fans have been moaning our spoiled little backsides off about the fact that everything is always set in London, and we never really go to other planets now, I think that's really quite amusing of RTD.

gizmo · 02/04/2009 09:12

Urrrrrrrrr.

I have shivers.

Anyone know when it's going to be broadcast?

UnquietDad · 02/04/2009 09:21

Easter Saturday 6.45pm.

littlepollyflinders · 02/04/2009 12:02

Well that's Easter Saturday sorted .
Hope it's better than the Xmas spesh.
Was really disappointed in that

ReallyReally · 02/04/2009 13:10

Billie Piper is coming back? What is she going to add to the episode?

Is she going to wander around moaning about how half human Doctor squeezes the toothpaste in the middle and never puts the bins out?

KayHarkerIsPlayingWithMitchell · 02/04/2009 13:31

I think what's going to happen is that they're going to set up a portal between the universes, and the Doctor is going to admit that actually, all it need was a supporting joist.

RustyBunny · 02/04/2009 17:30

Maybe there's a Donna in the parallel universe (or a parallel universe; no need to restrict themselves to the one Rose happened to end up in)

PortAndLemon · 02/04/2009 22:59

I don't think he liked it very much

KayHarkerIsPlayingWithMitchell · 02/04/2009 23:06

Well, it is a bit... generic. I was getting rather bored by about one minute thirty.

My initial verdict is - oi, people, get your own robot dog and leave K9 alone!

PortAndLemon · 02/04/2009 23:11

If they can't even make the trailer look exciting then it doesn't bode well.

Have been sort-of subtly preparing 4yo DS for traumatic regeneration event at the end of the year by going back and showing him Series 1. One side-effect of this is that he now spontaneously refers to Ten as "not the other Doctor, the Doctor I know: the one with the sticky-out hair". Sometimes there are hand gestures accompanying "sticky-out hair".

ellceeell · 05/04/2009 18:08

Just had a look at the trailer for the Easter Doctor Who www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/s4/misc/media/ - and I think it shows promise. Why does it have to clash with Primeval?

JackienOeuf · 06/04/2009 20:14

Interview in the Times with RTD and DT. They sound like they're a great double act .

ellceeell · 06/04/2009 20:34

Thanks JO - that was interesting - I could hear their voices in my head!

PortAndLemon · 07/04/2009 07:30

Latest update on filming (possible spoilers).

KayHarker · 07/04/2009 11:29

See, I'm perfectly calm. The insane screams of glee you can all faintly hear from wherever you are in the country, well, they're nothing to do with me.

(Oh how much did I want him in the TARDIS? Happy happy happy)

PersephoneSnape · 07/04/2009 19:19

squee of great joy as saturday approaches.

oggsfrog · 08/04/2009 00:10

Is it on this Saturday?

I'm going to throw myself on your collective mercy...

...would anyone at all be able to record it onto a dvd for me? I would obviously recompense.

We live in the middle of nowhere and don't have a tv and our computer speed is too slow to watch on there.

My mum has videoed things in the past for me but there is always the first ten minutes missing or it's so fuzzy that it's barely watchable and there are only four more chances for me to indulge in my Ten obsession and I so I need a copy that will bear severe re-watching.

Please. Pretty pease. Anybody?

KayHarker · 08/04/2009 08:51

I can't... I do not have the technology (I can't rebuild him...)

But bumping for you in the hope that someone can.

RustyBunny · 08/04/2009 12:12

oggsfrog - I will have a go, but I don't want to promise anything as our DVD recorder is extremely dodgy & often fails completely at critical moments. It records (when it records!) on DVD+RW by the way

So you will need to go on looking for someone else too.

If anyone can't make it on Saturday, it's also being shown -
Sunday 12 BBC3 7pm
Monday 13 BBC1 5pm
Friday 17 BBC3 8pm

Don't know when it'll be put on iPlayer

PortAndLemon · 08/04/2009 12:19

I will have a go, but can't guarantee it will work. If enough people try you must end up with at least one success, surely?

oggsfrog · 08/04/2009 14:57

Oh thank you! As you say if I keep trying I'll hopefully get one successful recording.

After 10 or so years I really do not miss having a tv........ apart from when DT is in the equation.

KayHarker · 10/04/2009 17:47

FFS, is it written into his contract or something??
