OOh, I saw DT in Hamlet in Stratford last year. He was fantastic. Even my I-don't-like-Shakespeare-it's-boring- DH loved it.

I am on Dr Who overload at the moment, as our Year 6 literacy SATs revision is all being done with a Dr Who theme so, as ICT support manager I am quite legitimately spending a lot of time on DW sites finding images & video clips-and of course I have to be there while they are watching them in case something goes wrong with the technology...

Just thinking about Ten leaving has left me traumatised. I'd not even considered the fact that I'll have to watch him die and regenerate

SATs revision with DW? DS1 would love that. So far he's just chuffed that I'm refusing to let him do booster classes on principle.

They are currently on the Formal/Persuasive writing bit, where they have to apply for the job of Dr Who's companion, which has involved researching Rose Martha & Donna to discover the important qualities of a companion.

Next phase is the narrative writing, later they will be creating non-fiction texts about Daleks, creating a recount of an event in Dr Who and putting it in a blog, making a poster for a new episode and writing a letter of complaint to the BBC as from a concerned parent, followed by the reply 'from' Russell T Davies.

They are absolutely loving it - and so am I!

The new Dr is going to make feel soooo old! However, I was determined to hate DT as I lurved the big man, same when Marth and then Donna took over. Takes me half an episode and I am sure I will forgive the young boy doctor for looking, well, so damn young!

RTD talks to SFX magazine about the upcoming specials, the overriding plot arc, whether Ten will be killed off by a giant spider, and how the handover to Matt Smith and Steven Moffat is working out.

BTW, did nobody else notice the way that the camera focused on a big dress ring on Donna Nobles hand right at the end of the last epiode of last series? I may be over analysing but had assumed a link to the ring retrieval from funeral pyre moment.

Still convinced we haven't seen or heard the last of Donna Noble.

Question: Would it be incredibly, irredeemably sad of me to pay £15 to have my photo taken with David Morrisey, Russell Tovey or even Lenora Chrichlow at a geek convention? I think I know the answer, tbh...
