Have we done a critique of the Sarah Jane episodes with the Doctor in?

I watched the Sarah Jane episodes with dd2 (7). She was so excited!!. I was glad that the Doctor didn't just roll up and save them all, it was still down to the regulars as well. I do like his lopsided smile. I am going to miss David Tennant.

Apparently the bit where he says 'You two - with me. Spit spot!' just before they go upstairs were the last words DT ever said as the Doctor.

Yes I just read that on the internet somewhere! I shall have to go back and watch the scene with proper reverence!

What was all that about the gate on SJS? Spooky!

Did anyone else think it was a bit "odd" the way he yelled My Tardis, or just me.

They really are taking the opportunity to ramp up the "something AWFUL is going happen" thing aren't they!

He's only going to regenerate, not die.

Anyway I thought the SJA was a bit nondescript really. I'm getting slightly tired of all the touchy-feely Who stuff now, and all the emphasis on loneliness and sacrifice etc etc etc. We want some proper monster-bashing!

He'll regenerate in the Christmas one.

The Christmas one is actually a two parter, I think on Christmas day & New Year's day/eve, so presumably the regeneration will be in the New year episode.

What? You mean we're all going to be in a state of panic after the Christmas Day one?
