I have it on good authority that they are filming an episode of Dr Who at Cardiff prison key words 'The Master's wife'!!

oggs

I haven't contacted you about the classic DW videos. Sorry!

How about starting off with the Time Warrior (Sontarans, 3rd Doctor, first Sarah Jane) and Pyramids of Mars (4th Doctor & Sarah, absolute classic, one of my all time favourites)?

oggsfrog · 28/07/2009 20:06

Don't worry about forgetting about me .

That sounds brilliant Rusty. Thank you .

I love the Middle Ages and Jon Pertwee was my first Doctor. You can't go wrong with a bit of Tom Baker and that was a great one.

RustyBear · 28/07/2009 20:19

I'm really sorry about forgetting - the day after I offered, we heard we were going to be OFSTEDed at work & in the ensuing panic preparation it slipped my mind. Unfortunately it never slipped back in until I saw your post today....

I will send them tomorrow.

oggsfrog · 28/07/2009 21:19

I was only joking Rusty; it's really generous of you to offer them in the first place. Thanks

RustyBear · 28/07/2009 21:27

I know you were joking!

I have (I think) all of Torchwood on our sky+, so I may be able to get it onto a DVD - can't promise anything though as I haven't tried doing any copying from our new system yet - I don't know if we've even got the right cable to connect the DVD recorder to the new sky+ box.

I need to do some experimenting....

oggsfrog · 01/08/2009 01:27

Thanks Rusty!
The tapes arrived in the post this afternoon but I'm not letting her watch one until tomorrow. Doctor Who is a Saturday early evening tradition after all .

KayHarkerIsKayHarker · 01/08/2009 19:23

Well, if anyone cares, I love Eleven's new outfit and am feeling decidedly positive about his tenure, after crying with disappointment when he was announced. Still not going to simper, but very pleased with the PT-esque flavour of it all.

Doesn't mean I'm not going to cry like a sobbing baby when Ten goes, but I cried the other day while rewatching Parting of the Ways, so that's inevitable. It's only right to cry when a good Doctor dies.

KayHarkerIsKayHarker · 05/08/2009 12:13

ooo, oo, squee, just seen who else was at the shoot that revealed his costume!! So glad Moffat has weaved her in.

oggsfrog · 10/08/2009 22:10

I care Kay ...where can I see Eleven's new outfit?

Chamomile · 13/08/2009 23:29

Why do no-one tell me the Dr Who Forum had ceased to exist? It was very disorientating to come back from hols having missed Torchwood, find the PC had had a fit and couldn't use iPlayer, bought the DVD and watched it in one session and then couldn't find the DWF to chat.
No threads here either.Did no-one like it then?

RustyBear · 15/08/2009 13:53

There was a thread while it was going on - hang on, I'll try to find it for you....

RustyBear · 15/08/2009 13:55

Here

ellceeell · 16/08/2009 22:29

Doctor Who's Greatest Moments BBC 3 8p.m. Thursday 20th August. In the first of three specials, Tenth Doctor David Tennant is joined by co-stars John Barrowman, David Morrissey and Mark Gatiss.....

Has this been on before?
Should I get excited?

AppleTreeWick · 17/08/2009 13:32

I think it's new...I squeeeeed with delight for a while after spotting it in me mothers radio times.

RustyBear · 17/08/2009 13:39

Bit more info here

Thanks for the heads-up ellcee - have set it to record on Sky+

JackieNo · 18/08/2009 09:44

Ooh - glad I spotted this - thanks. Will have to watch that.

KayHarkerIsKayHarker · 20/08/2009 09:16

Charity shop bargain time - I got a couple of VHS dalek stories in a collectors tin, Hartnell and McCoy, and it cost me the princely sum of £2.99. I love Sylv, and still own a VHS machine. It's even got a little twerpy booklet so I can geek myself to oblivion.
[nerd]

JackieNo · 20/08/2009 11:34

Excellent bargain, Kay . I love charity shops.

RustyBear · 20/08/2009 11:50

I still have some VHS tapes going spare if anyone wants them - oggs has Pyramids of Mars & The Time Warrior, but I have others, once I've sorted out the ones that we've got the DVDs of once more. (I had them in a separate pile, till DS decided to have a major reorganisation of the playroom & dumped all the DW VHS into one big box)

UnquietDad · 20/08/2009 20:19

Chamomile - DWF has migrated en-masse to new home at Gallifrey Base. We're all there - just different wallpaper and furniture!

TheDailyMailHatesWomenAndLemon · 20/08/2009 21:49

The Greatest Moments was a bit rubbish, TBH. Which is more-or-less what I expected, but somehow still disappointing.

Chamomile · 20/08/2009 21:52

Thanks,UQD. Yes, I found Gallifrey Base in the end.

RustyBear · 20/08/2009 22:02

Yes, they missed out some of my favourite moments - like cutting off one of my favourite lines:

"Just think. When you get back, you could tell everyone that you've seen Shakespeare."

"Yeah! And then I could get sectioned!"

RustyBear · 25/08/2009 16:29

Never realised how much bigger RTD is than DT
