I have it on good authority that they are filming an episode of Dr Who at Cardiff prison key words 'The Master's wife'!!

I'd certainly pay a good deal more than that to have my photo taken with DT/Aidan Turner. But of course my motivation would be suspect....

serenity · 19/03/2009 19:28

I don't think it's sad, but I can't do it myself. I get in big convoluted internal arguments about how they can't really enjoy it, and therefore do I really want to do it?!

I really really overthink things.

PortAndLemon · 19/03/2009 19:34

Not if the money goes to charity. In that case its your civic duty to do it in order to help the less fortunate, no matter how painful you may find the whole experience... [pious emoticon]

wasabipeanut - the ring thing has come up before, but Donna's ring and the ring that was picked up by the Master's pyre were very different

RustyBear · 19/03/2009 20:16

I am loving the livejournal thing - especially the buttons one Love the way she slipped my very favourite 10 pic in there, from my very favourite DW scene, even though it doesn't show the suit

And the 'spreadsheet of Rassilon' should have been incorporated into the Presidential Ordination ceremony...

"Accept, therefore, the Sash of Rassilon... the Rod of Rassilon... Seek, therefore, to find the Great Key of Rassilon... Learn, therefore, to format the Spreadsheet of Rassilon..."

KayHarkerIsPlayingWithMitchell · 19/03/2009 22:45

yes, the mighty tea towel of Rassilon has just been put to good use here

(yes, I do love the gratuitous suit lite screencap on the buttons post, that's pretty much my avatar on the DWF)

I think I'm going to resist the lure of the picture, because I would feel an utter knob doing it. And that's always a real temptaion too, standing next to David Morrisey.

Anyway, just off to post more (sorry, not Who-related) smutfic. This one even has a plot, woo hoo!

MegBusset · 20/03/2009 11:00

Rose, Martha and Donna back for DT's last ep

AND John Simm back as the Master! Squeeeeeeeeeeeee!!

PortAndLemon · 21/03/2009 21:32

[cathoderaytube.blogspot.com/2009/03/doctor-who-2009-specials-filming-part-4.html Cathode Ray Tube]] has some very slight spoilers for the last couple of specials. Jessica Hynes is back! Squeeeee! (but squeeeee in a different manner from the John Simm-related squeeeee)

PortAndLemon · 21/03/2009 21:38

Oops. That link again: Cathode Ray Tube.

And The Medusa Cascade has new promotional images and production stills from "Planet of the Dead".

KayHarkerIsPlayingWithMitchell · 21/03/2009 21:57

If those filming pics are the thing that RTD was fearing might be too fanwanky, then, I am going to squee my backside off. That is something straight out of fanfic, and I, for one, welcome our new Dalek fanwank overlords.

(Seriously joking about the Daleks. Please, God, no more bloody Daleks.)

gizmo · 22/03/2009 19:37

OMG!

I should NOT have opened that on a Sunday evening after a G&T. Will now have to spend whole week in ultimately futile search for more evidence.

Damn, but my head is spinning: what does it mean?

Yours,

Over hyped Gizmo

KayHarkerIsPlayingWithMitchell · 22/03/2009 19:54

It means more angst!

gizmo · 22/03/2009 20:15

Yeah, but, y'know, I'll get through it...

Oh, you mean in the programme?

KayHarkerIsPlayingWithMitchell · 22/03/2009 20:21

Both, naturally. Unless it's cocked up in a way I can't even imagine.

KayHarkerIsPlayingWithMitchell · 23/03/2009 12:39

Oh come on, does no-one want to wildly speculate on exactly who Jessica Stevenson is playing??

KayHarkerIsPlayingWithMitchell · 23/03/2009 12:40

(Oh, it's not Jessica Stevenson anymore, is it?)

gizmo · 23/03/2009 12:41

Damn it Kay, but you're irresistible.

I'll have a little think: possibly Joan's daughter?

KayHarkerIsPlayingWithMitchell · 23/03/2009 12:48

Grandaughter, I would have thought, if it's going to be a relative.

Could be Joan herself, of course, if there's some wibbly wobbly stuff going on...

gizmo · 23/03/2009 12:55

But what is it about the Journal that makes it into a book? And why would the Doctor be worried about that?

After all, in the Doctorverse his existence is about the worst kept secret on earth.

KayHarkerIsPlayingWithMitchell · 23/03/2009 13:06

Is he worried, though? From everything I've seen it's a short exchange in which he asks for his book to be signed. It's what goes before that will tell us, really.

gizmo · 23/03/2009 13:09

Ah, I'm reading too much into the 'slightly stern but sad expression.' bit.

And now I'm thinking of David Tennant being sad-but-stern I may have to go and find a darkened room somewhere...

KayHarkerIsPlayingWithMitchell · 23/03/2009 13:11

Yes. He's very disappointed with us, and must take us sternly in hand...

gizmo · 23/03/2009 13:12
RustyBear · 23/03/2009 13:14

I'm wondering about the Verity Newman bit - because John Smith told Joan about Verity being his mum, but (obviously) didn't say anything about Newman, only Sidney. So are we supposed to assume it's just a cosmic joke or what?
