princessmel · 25/02/2009 20:23

Thanks csws.

I have a thing about him. Don't know why but I fancy him!!! A bit....

CantSleepWontSleep · 25/02/2009 20:32

I'd have liked to have eaten all of that. I like a decent sized portion!

princessmel · 25/02/2009 20:36

Not sure about the fishyness of the starter.

Liked the look of the main though.

OllieWollieWoo · 25/02/2009 20:37

Ooo - a liquid chocolate drop! Yummy!

hazeyjane · 25/02/2009 20:38

Those have to be the wankiest plates of food ever!

princessmel · 25/02/2009 20:39

Yuk to the tongue

CantSleepWontSleep · 25/02/2009 20:46

I wonder how long the other chef had to spend to come up with 3 obscure enough dishes that each have an equal number of 'complicated processes' for them to have a stab at.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 25/02/2009 20:47

I am thinking that this is Matt's to lose.

princessmel · 25/02/2009 20:56

It's so sweet that they are all crying. I am nearly crying!!

CantSleepWontSleep · 25/02/2009 20:58

I think that I agree fgmid, but I still think that Andy is in with a shot too.

ClaraDeLaNoche · 25/02/2009 21:09

Michael Caine - "I finished it", as a sign of a compliment. Michael, you don't get that size by being picky. Who was that charming man beside Scottish curly guy.

I think it will be Andy. By way of congrats I plan to fashion him a cotton wool end of nose sweat mopper upper.

Didn't Zara look well but not very posh really.

hazeyjane · 25/02/2009 21:15

I want to concoct a menu, so that dh and I can have a masterchef inspired menu tomorrow night.

It has to please a very exacting critic, ie a man for whom a true delicacy is a Fray Bentos pie.

Would anyone care to help me?

BTW dh said he thought the starter should be served with a coulis of vomit.

merryberry · 25/02/2009 21:22

dh wondering where david attenburgh was in tent at burghley...'here, in the uplands at dusk, the horse tribe come out to feed. the plummage is costly yet drab, and no interlopers from other species or the middle class are tolerated, unless bearing gifts'

merryberry · 25/02/2009 21:23

otherwise so relieved the program seemed to come to life at last. want that mint sorbet with a passion. LOVED the langham dining room they were weeping (poor things) in.

pollywobbledoodle · 25/02/2009 21:35

clara, it's tom kitchin, general wonderkid and gorgeous with it...

CantSleepWontSleep · 25/02/2009 21:45

Tom Kitchin is the scottish curly guy isn't he, not the guy next to him, which is what clara was asking?

Tinker · 25/02/2009 22:42

Didn't see tonight's but judging by what the three of them said on BBC Breakfast teh other day I will stick my neck out and say Andy.

Have to say, I have warmed to Mat whilst he's been in the finals and feel a tad guilty of accusing him of playing the moist-eyes card earlier (which he did but...)

pollywobbledoodle · 26/02/2009 13:18

you're right cantsleep.......can't remember who else was there now...

2shoes · 26/02/2009 17:24

I want Matt to win

SlightlyMadScotland · 26/02/2009 18:52

I think Matt looks like a big butch manly man.

But I do think he is genuinely honoured to be there and humbled by the comments they make.

I think it is too close to call this year who will win. They are all having good rounds and not so good rounds.

Habbibu · 26/02/2009 20:00

Here we go!!!

zanz1bar · 26/02/2009 20:01

Here we go. are you all ready

Habbibu · 26/02/2009 20:03

What are we betting? I like Christopher, but don't think he's in the running. Think maybe Matt, as he's got over his presentation issues?

zanz1bar · 26/02/2009 20:04

My money is on Andy but i think mat has improved the most

zanz1bar · 26/02/2009 20:06

But have a big soft spot for christopher only because he is a suffolk boy, love it when his accent slips
