Have just finished watching this on iplayer as DH was out and couldn't bear to let me watch it without him (Aw, bless).

Shame about Chris but he couldn't keep his cool so not surprising he had to go. My vote now goes to Christopher as well.

Kate Spicer is one mean cowbag, isn't she? How sad and disappointing for her that she couldn't rip the heart out of any of the contestants this year - presumably she'd have liked it fried with some green beans and a nice Chablis...

to me, they just seem so limp and their food underdeveloped compared to previous series' contestants. only andy seems to have some of that flair, not much mind, and many more struggles in getting the job done in one piece/on time.

well they have thrown out any candidates who weren't exactly like these three, so of course it is deadly dull.

He was just as big! We did a project together that involved driving from London to Leeds. He used to drive a sporty but fairly small car, and he really just seemed to fill his side of the car up!

Nice guy though. I enjoyed working with him.

and has this been mentioned? i can't stand the greying out effect when they show things in the past. wish they'd adjust the colour back stop the food looking off and the participants deathly. just ut some naff other effect please. this one is so drear

They eventually got it all up (andy's and mat's together), although the veg for andy's went up after the rest of it. Takes a long time to boil some sweetcorn you see .

Christopher was first up with his dessert too. Mat's cheesecake didn't set, so they served it in bowls with something stuffed on top.

Yes pretty dull. Why do we need reminding every day about Chris's inexperience and Andy's lack of attention to detail? John and Greg are such labellers, don't they understand that people change.

I agree re greying out (it makes the food look really bland and certainly doesn't do it justice).
