he is indeed very pretty but he only really has the one facial expression

OP posts:
Cappuccino · 08/08/2008 14:44

but he is older, isn't he? no getting away from it

incidentally I followed a link from that site and found this which is nothing to do with this thread but is a bit amusing. For about 2 minutes

I wouldn't have said ageless, but I think if it's not left much longer he could do it. I'm one handed (not from looking at pics, Tink's asleep on my lap) so can't surf so well so can't look for more ATM.

Katisha · 08/08/2008 14:55

Can we get back to the point of this thread which is DAVID TENNANT Dr Who?

I know nothing of this spike person...

TheLadyofShalott · 08/08/2008 14:55

Maybe vampires with souls do age though?

Cappuccino · 08/08/2008 14:56

ok, sorry, yes

Spike was in Buffy the Vampire Slayer; the actor now pops up in Torchwood, so there is a connection, though tenuous

what do you want us to talk about in relation to Stick Boy?

OP posts:
Cappuccino · 08/08/2008 14:57

yes Lady maybe they do

also they seem to get all tanned in the sun and put on weight

OP posts:
Katisha · 08/08/2008 15:05

Actually I did see the actor in question in torchwood and thought he looked smug, but maybe that was the acting...

I see there's going to be a radio version of Torchwood on R4 when they turn on the particle accelerator thingy at CERN next month... Scroll to the end

PortAndLemon · 08/08/2008 22:51

Surely Grammar Pedant Doctor (can't remember exactly where he grammar pedanted this season, but I do remember being happy when it happened) would never type "myself and Rose walked"?

Still enjoying The 10 Doctors here, although his production rate seems to have dropped off over the summer.

Cappuccino · 08/08/2008 23:25

they haven't got the teeth right at all PortandLemon

[obsessed]

OP posts:
Cappuccino · 08/08/2008 23:26

and since when is 'noive' a northern accent?

OP posts:
PortAndLemon · 08/08/2008 23:27

He's not been in it much, mind you... probably Rich is busy practising drawing him on scrap bits of paper until he can get the teeth right (which would explain why he's not getting many pages up at the moment, too... [all makes sense now]).

Dare you to put on a comment complaining about the verisimilitude of the teeth...

Cappuccino · 08/08/2008 23:31

I think I am best confined to small spaces, I think, like this thread

if I went blundering all over cyberspace with this I would just look like a nutter

I think 'noive' is a Noo Joisey accent, isn't it. Presumably as in the Wizard of Oz (that is where that quote's from, isn't it?). Looks like he's not drawing his teeth at all - copping out completely.

Cappuccino · 09/08/2008 11:04

I was so tired last night I thought it was cockney

OP posts:
TinkerBellesMum · 09/08/2008 11:14

What does noive mean? I couldn't even put it into context with what he said.

I need to catch up with 10 docs.

serenity · 09/08/2008 11:43

Definitely New Jersey/WoOz - that's how I read it as well.

Noive = nerve in that case TBM

Does that make CE one of Dorothy's friends?

TinkerBellesMum · 09/08/2008 12:03

In that case, yes def New Jersey! What an odd thing for them to have a British character saying!

serenity · 09/08/2008 12:17

No.....he talks about Tinmen (so Wizard of Oz) and then goes on to quote/sing from the film in the accent that it's sung in in the film. Not that odd (just a bit twee)

TinkerBellesMum · 09/08/2008 13:07

OK, I didn't read it properly, liek I say, I need to catch up lol

Cappuccino · 09/08/2008 14:29

no it bloody doesn't serenity

it doesn't make Dr Who a fan of musical theatre either

Ripeberry · 09/08/2008 14:41

My DH offered to get me a ticket for Hamlet with DT but he soon changed his mind, when he found out that they are all sold out and exchanging hands for £££!
Don't know how they are doing that, when the RSC prints your surname on the ticket to avoid re-selling!
Waaahhh! wanted to see DT! Not fair!

serenity · 09/08/2008 18:30

to make Capp feel better

Cappuccino · 10/08/2008 13:08

so last night the Great Coffee House Rewatch continued with The End of the World, which was a fab episode imo

it did make me think about UnquietDad's questions a while ago about whether we would like stories about blue vs green aliens; I loved the Trees, I loved the steward, and I adored the Adherence of the Repeated Meme, which was just RTD having such fun with language to the point where he created a whole set of aliens with a name with such authority that you didn't even think about what it meant until they were revealed as actually being memes and just an idea

Let's face it, The Adherence of the Repeated Meme makes 'Dalek' look like something someone came up with with their magnetic fridge letters

I am wanting to really concentrate this time [geek] on the Face of Boe. I wonder did RTD know from the off that Boe was going to be a recurring character? Or did he think "That big head in a bowl was nice and vague, we could use it again"? And how does Boe travel around now he is a face in a bowl? He can't use Jack's little watchstrap transporter thingy because he no longer has any wrists

I also was very comforted to know that billions of years from now when the earth is dead and the last human is a stretched piece of skin, we will still be using vent covers from Wickes
