I get round that easy peasy - Mickey said it, Rose is just staring like a lovesick lemon at the shattered time window. She's never that bothered about giving Mickey the respect to explain stuff to him.
And yup, serenity has it with the slow path. He's gone into the past, so he lives long enough to catch up. Bit of a ridiculous notion on his part, but then he often has ridiculous ideas.
My textual evidence for this is - the Doctor's line about '3000 years bad luck' - that's a jolly big hint he expected to get back to Rose. And the 'always wait five and half hours' - well, for what? What would she do at the end of five and a half hours? was it like a patch test for bleaching her hair? No, he meant for her to go into the TARDIS and use the emergency setting, of course.
Now, Hamlet - some rather sinfully enjoyable flashes of lower back and bites down on fist lower abdominals while he was wearing a red t-shirt and doing that manic arms over the head thing.
And very, very funny delivery with Patrick Stewart booming out 'Where is Polonius?!' and Tennant responding, in a perfect mimic of Stewart's voice 'In Heaven!' The swordfight was magnificent, really crash-bang-wallop, and the closet scene was really intense (Throw me on the bed while I'm in silk pyjamas sir? Oh, alright then...)
