Its on at nine.
Its about women that give birth at home, alone with no midwife, and no medical interventio.

Laws are different in the US and vary by state.

Tieing the cord with a shoelace!!! No risk of infection there then.

well, to be fair to him she has rejected his skills up til now... seems to me she expected him to be pissy.

WHO is yasmin?

claire could have found an independent midwife supportive of HB, no?

Jaysfinished · 09/07/2008 21:48

i agree Piff

RegenerAitch · 09/07/2008 21:49

it's bad of me to pmsl at her 'i'm scared', isn't it? after her po-faced 'hem hem it only hurts when women are scared'.

Evelynsmum · 09/07/2008 21:49

I think Yasmin is Clairs new partner.

expatinscotland · 09/07/2008 21:49

I would expect any doctor I encountered in the US to be pissy, tbh.

Yikes! This is bringing back some seriously BAD flashbacks to my ex bf .

lou031205 · 09/07/2008 21:49

So is that her partner, rather than birth-partner?

Jaysfinished · 09/07/2008 21:49

Yasmin is her new partner

lou031205 · 09/07/2008 21:50

Yeah, Pruners, I think he was a tad annoyed with her.

MissingMyHeels · 09/07/2008 21:50

Yasmin is her girlfriend.

scrappydappydoo · 09/07/2008 21:50

It was explained earlier - Yasmin is her new partner... Glad it seems to be balancing out a little - that first woman made it seem all too easy - as beautiful as it was too watch

littleboyblue · 09/07/2008 21:50

Gosh. Don't really know what I think about this. The first woman's birth was lovely, brought a tear to my pregnant, hormonal eye, but this 2nd one is a bit worrying.
I personally couldn't take the risk of doing it on my own, I think there's no need in this day and age to go it alone.
I gave birth at a hospital that has had a lot of bad press recently and tbh the after care was awful, the labour was awful, I have memories of giving birth that are tainted with confusion and dissappointment at the treatment I received, but then I was so out of it on gas and air that I didn't really know what was going on but can't imagine doing it alone because of that

Ok, get the partner thing now. I missed that & was wondering where her DP was!

GoatisLOLing · 09/07/2008 21:51

i loved the bandeau - everyone has seen your fanjo i think you could risk a little titty.

i thought her birth was lovely, shame she had to go and face the pissy doctor afterwards.

RegenerAitch · 09/07/2008 21:52

she wouldn't have had to face him if she'd had a HOMEBIRTH.

littleboyblue · 09/07/2008 21:53

Oh f**k. She does not sound good! I don't wanna give birth again!
That was quick

HuwEdwards · 09/07/2008 21:53

The 'don't touch me thing' even by her partner, odd, no?
