What are your thoughts on Amandaland?
I really tried to like it. I really did.
but for me it just isn’t as good as motherland. I just don’t think the characters are distinctive enough to really stand out and identify with like in motherland. But I gave see on a few thread and fab groups that people like Amandaland and it’s just as good.

Love that episode of IT crowd.. did you see that ludicrous display last night 😄 Yes he’s one of those actors that appears in loads of stuff but not usually a main character

I really like JJ. I love that he kind of idolises Mal

I watched it this weekend and I have to say I thought it was much better than series 1. I like all the teenager stuff, especially Ann and ChatGPT and Darius noping out of the moving car 😄. Maybe that's because I have teenage boys. I had a few laugh out loud moments which is unusual these days. I thought it was pretty funny.

I liked Abs joining and I adore J J and Mal. The teenagers were thankfully barely in it, apart from
the bloody hilarious bit of Darius jumping out the car - I laughed so hard at that

I have never heard of motherland and just started watching Amandaland. Anne and Della are the best characters. I don’t get why Anne isn’t working now and why she thinks the awful Amanda is so great.

I’m really enjoying this series. The writing is much better and lots of laugh out loud moments for me.

That element is so funny and relatable though. It’s the foundation of the show

I liked Motherland because it had a bit of darkness and the kids were invisible. Amandaland S 2 is a bit over sugary for me with all the aawing over the kids.

All that would be explained if you watched the show the characters originally came from

I watched Rochenda Sandall in the 2020 version of Talking Heads. She was so good in that my brain struggles with the transition to comedy from very dark.

That was definitely the funniest moment for me too 🤣🤣

Darius jumping out of the moving car had me laughing out loud at the TV for the first time in about 20 years.
