yah it’s back. The easy watching murders and guessing which of the usually 4 suspects did it

The 15th season of the beloved, sun-dappled detective show will start airing on 30th January 2026, with the first episode airing at 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

We don't yet know much about what will take place in the new episodes, but we do know that Don Gilet will be back as DI Mervin Wilson (https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/drama/death-in-paradise-cast/), along with Shantol Jackson as DS Naomi Thomas, Ginny Holder as Officer Darlene Curtis, Shaquille Ali-Yebuah as Officer Sebastian Rose and Elizabeth Bourgine as Catherine Bordey.

Meanwhile, we're expecting Don Warrington to return as Commissioner Selwyn Patterson, after his future on the series was thrown into doubt all through last season. Esp after the Christmas episode

After he decided not to take his job back at the end of season 14, he was seen visiting the UK in the Christmas special.

Coming to realise how important his job and Saint Marie were to him, Patterson was seen calling the chief commissioner at the end of that episode, asking if his role was still vacant (https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/drama/death-in-paradise-selwyn-wants-job-back-newsupdate/) and whether he could return to it.

Meanwhile, season 15 is also likely to see Mervin getting to know the brother he never knew he had, after he managed to make contact with him briefly in the Christmas special.

Me too although I just find her annoying in general.

I'm watching E6 now but OH has fallen asleep and I've lost interest.

I think this is just getting too contrived and silly for me now.

The helicopter coming up over the house was a step too far and, while I confess I know nothing about Caribbean accents so I may be totally wrong, they feel OTT in a rather "Allo 'allo" way

However nonsensical episodes have been, I've always seen them through. This week's is the first time I've given up.

Too much emphasis on the inspector's brother. This team just doesn't work for me somehow and I hope they're not giving the awful Catherine a more prominent role.

Not dead, was never dead; he was faking his own death so he could disappear.

I used to like Catherine but not when they insert her in to everything. The inspector’s brother is just silly. The whole series has got sillier over time. They never used to have an endless parade of comedy police and extra characters.

Thought it was sad. I know Kim wanted to get her revenge, but just telling the truth would have been enough, and then she may have a relationship with her daughter. Also, why was the text sender amongst the final posse?

Quite like the trumpet (?) music that was being played at the end when Mervyn was waking up and getting up.

They always do these huge life altering announcements in public like this, as part of the reveal - imagine finding out your mums housekeeper (and murderer) was actually your birth mum, just while you're sitting there as one of the potential murder suspects. Mervyn's therapist must be kept busy!

I thought that for a moment as well and then realised DIP has more red herrings in an episode than Broadchurch ever did! It would have been too easy for it to be her.
