yah it’s back. The easy watching murders and guessing which of the usually 4 suspects did it

The 15th season of the beloved, sun-dappled detective show will start airing on 30th January 2026, with the first episode airing at 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

We don't yet know much about what will take place in the new episodes, but we do know that Don Gilet will be back as DI Mervin Wilson (https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/drama/death-in-paradise-cast/), along with Shantol Jackson as DS Naomi Thomas, Ginny Holder as Officer Darlene Curtis, Shaquille Ali-Yebuah as Officer Sebastian Rose and Elizabeth Bourgine as Catherine Bordey.

Meanwhile, we're expecting Don Warrington to return as Commissioner Selwyn Patterson, after his future on the series was thrown into doubt all through last season. Esp after the Christmas episode

After he decided not to take his job back at the end of season 14, he was seen visiting the UK in the Christmas special.

Coming to realise how important his job and Saint Marie were to him, Patterson was seen calling the chief commissioner at the end of that episode, asking if his role was still vacant (https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/drama/death-in-paradise-selwyn-wants-job-back-newsupdate/) and whether he could return to it.

Meanwhile, season 15 is also likely to see Mervin getting to know the brother he never knew he had, after he managed to make contact with him briefly in the Christmas special.

Selwyn was in the UK to visit his daughter. As viewers of the Beyond Paradise Christmas special will remember, he went down to Devon to be Kris Marshall's best man, but he then got a call from Sainte Marie to say they were looking into a case with UK links, so he went off to ?Swindon and found that only Josie Lawrence was left running the premises of the company he was looking into. The other members of staff had awarded themselves a Christmas bonus/party upgrade in the form of a break on Sainte Marie, in the course of which inevitably one was murdered. The solution was so preposterous I think you'll remember it eventually. You're halfway there with the bullet thing. I still enjoyed it! I always do.

It was utterly ludicrous and contrived to the nth degree but I still enjoyed it 😊

I know it’s cheesy but I am a huge fan. Went a few weeks ago to visit where they film (images incoming). Our Guide said they love us as each season, £5 million goes into their economy and they use local crew etc. After they finish filming, the inspector’s wooden shack gets dismantled to protect the beach.

Huge fan also. I’ve watched from the start, and always at tv pace. A bit of light relief (despite the murders).
