yah it’s back. The easy watching murders and guessing which of the usually 4 suspects did it

The 15th season of the beloved, sun-dappled detective show will start airing on 30th January 2026, with the first episode airing at 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

We don't yet know much about what will take place in the new episodes, but we do know that Don Gilet will be back as DI Mervin Wilson (https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/drama/death-in-paradise-cast/), along with Shantol Jackson as DS Naomi Thomas, Ginny Holder as Officer Darlene Curtis, Shaquille Ali-Yebuah as Officer Sebastian Rose and Elizabeth Bourgine as Catherine Bordey.

Meanwhile, we're expecting Don Warrington to return as Commissioner Selwyn Patterson, after his future on the series was thrown into doubt all through last season. Esp after the Christmas episode

After he decided not to take his job back at the end of season 14, he was seen visiting the UK in the Christmas special.

Coming to realise how important his job and Saint Marie were to him, Patterson was seen calling the chief commissioner at the end of that episode, asking if his role was still vacant (https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/drama/death-in-paradise-selwyn-wants-job-back-newsupdate/) and whether he could return to it.

Meanwhile, season 15 is also likely to see Mervin getting to know the brother he never knew he had, after he managed to make contact with him briefly in the Christmas special.

I’m really sorry to burst any bubbles but I wouldn’t recommend staying there. The island overall is not as pretty as it looks on the programme. We went on a TUI Cruise from Barbados - with a junior suite and large balcony and it was heavenly but we were happy to only be at each place for the day.

Cruise included Tobago, The Grenadines, St Lucia etc and we had a lovely junior suite with a large balcony.

Tui arranged all the tours although you can go it alone if you are more adventurous.

We loved it but wouldn’t do it again - although we would return to stay in Barbados (West Coast - The Sandpiper) in a heartbeat.

Thanks, that's really helpful!

Based on last week it could be all 4 guests that are murderers.

Yes Ace is good as well.

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/02/2026 21:13

Assumed killed /drowned on beach an why all dry ans then go washes out

AlwaysRightISwear · 06/02/2026 21:15

Surely it has to be Hermione's character as the biggest star guest? If it wasn't for that I'd go for the young male client.

JaneJeffer · 06/02/2026 21:18

Bloody hell can they not keep the volume on an even keel? 😳

PrincessScarlett · 06/02/2026 21:47

Ace has been in everything. All the soaps and tons of TV shows including Unforgotten, Line of Duty, Manhunt, Good Karma Hospital etc etc.

AlwaysRightISwear · 06/02/2026 22:25

LOD is the only one I would have seen him in then, although I honestly don't remember him in it

AlwaysRightISwear · 06/02/2026 22:28

Looking at his Wikipedia page he's done one off spots on a few shows I watch TBF.

kazzaD66 · 06/02/2026 22:31

The sound levels were shite Jane
Every* *time music came on, I had to turn the volume down about 10 times Hmm

RomanMum · 07/02/2026 08:50

Yet again I fell asleep halfway through. Just as it was getting interesting. Will rewatch later.

BeaLola · 07/02/2026 16:22

I'm am getting get fed up of the "back in the UK there was a hit and run " - they use this so many times

NewAgeNewMe · 07/02/2026 21:15

I’m not sure the team is working for me quite yet. Individually I like them but as a whole I feel something is missing the mark. I like the new Sergeant.

CollaterlieSistersSister · 08/02/2026 07:55

I’m so glad the young wife just told her husband to eff off at the end, rather than a reconciliation after his betrayal & bullshit excuse.

I thought drugged as soon as sleeping tablets were mentioned. Chekhov’s gun.

Took me ages to place the actor playing the young husband - Kenny from Killing Eve!

Bruisername · 08/02/2026 18:45

I’m a bit confused why they thought the murder happened where they found the body - they are island police!!
