It’s runaway on Netflix. I can’t find a thread! It’s really good!!

I've just watched Episode 3 so I'm trying not to read all of this thread. The show is engaging enough and I'm quite enjoying it but it really hacks me off when they use Americanisms in UK-set shows. We don't say Detective so-and-so, we'd say DS (or whatever rank), for example.

Does anyone else think that Maria, the woman who runs the cafe, looks very like Simon's son, Sam?

The bit that annoyed me was the final twist. Surely the news would be rife with the story of the cult and their antics. It wouldn’t take Ingrid much to realise that her alleged dead son was caught up in it. I suppose the fact she was in a coma while James Nesbit was playing detective regarding all the ancestry stuff might mean she didn’t click on about that though.

Also thought the Elena stepdaughter thing was pointless and made no sense given her age. She said they’d been married 23 years and that woman looked at least 23 if not much older. Therefore if he’d been a sperm donor during their marriage she’d surely have to be much younger.

My understanding is that Elena's late husband fathered that woman before they married rather than during. She wasn't upset because he cheated on her, but because he didn't tell her he had a daughter!

i thought it supposed to be during the marriage because his mother kept reiterating how he hadn’t had an affair.
