I knew JR had had sex with him and had assumed she didn’t like it judging by her attitude towards him in the honeymoon, but what was surprising to me is to hear she has kept doing it - when she clearly didn’t like it or him in general.

I can see the point of them “working at the sex” if they had any intention of staying together long term. But the reality is these two will split up immediately after, if not during the experiment.

So why continue with the so called bad sex for the next few weeks? Bizarre. I wonder who’s initiating it.

It’s utterly bizarre to be so brash about her “healthy attitude towards sex”, talk about sex constantly, to then be so coy about disclosing she’s had sex with her “husband”.

It could be either she has a boyfriend on the outside and just wanted to be on TV.

Or, she’s considering her career and dating prospects after the show when she’s “famous” and thinks it would be a better look if she was “sex positive” but had nothing to hold over her.

I don’t feel it was a secret she had sex? To me it was obvious she had sex with Divarni. She initially spoke highly of his looks and how handsome he was and then they had a kiss at the altar then off to the honeymoon. So, I assumed they had done it when they first arrived before their camel-gate fight.

When her best mates asked how that side was going she made a grimace and said something about her sex toys haven’t been used, which gave me the impression she had it but it was bad - hence the face.

Also she never stated she didn’t - people on MAFS tend to announce when they haven’t yet.

But yeah it’s just the fact she kept going with the sex that’s a surprise to me.

@Mafsisback I knew girls like this growing up, who would sleep with the guy that they'd tell everyone was "obsessed" with them. These lads would be sworn to secrecy in much the same way because these girls actually loved the attention from them but didn't actually want to date them. So the poor lads would be patiently waiting while the girl would be "he gives me the ick but he just won't stop following me all over town and sending me valentines day cards" all over the common room. It's very High School behaviour.

I think it's like a female version of the God Complex so many of the men on these shows have. Women use sex for power and call it being "sex positive" when really it's about manipulation and image. She obviously thinks she is pretty spesh in the bedroom, probably because she picks men who think they are beneath her and are super grateful as an ego supply for her.

@FirstCuppa Ah that’ll be because she was born in South Africa and adopted. Her adoptive father brought her back to his home in NZ, so I believe she mostly grew up there and then came to London as an adult .

Not sure what age she left South Africa but her adoptive sister (who legally adopted JR after their Dad died) is in NZ too.

They showed a video call with her sister at the start of the season.

So true. A former friend of mine used to be forever ditching Facebook profiles and creating new ones because this person or that one was supposedly 'stalking' her. Unfortunately she used to blatantly lead people on to prop up her self-esteem, which is obviously no excuse for stalking but I'm sceptical they were stalking her at all, just failing to conveniently disappear when she wanted them to. And each time she'd repeat the pattern with a whole new person. Come to think of it, I could totally imagine her going on a show like MAFS and messing with people's heads.

Thanks - I do remember her being adopted but guess I assumed she would have been young enough to get the NZ accent, which isn't a prerequisite I guess. I think the adoption will be a large part of the need to be worshipped.

I think a pp mentioned but it was very awkward when Paul was calling Joe ‘Jer’ (as in in Joes Leeds accent) I think he genuinely thought that’s his name and everyone probably felt too embarrassed to tell him.
