Women are constantly downplaying the abuse they get from men. It’s baked in, 5 minutes on the relationship board shows that.

This kind of dreadful toxic relationship just normalises these abusive behaviors , when it’s an opportunity to strongly condemn it. And it’s done to chase ratings. It’s really disgusting

He didn’t say anything negative about her appearance but I don’t think he said anything positive either. And that was her in full glam, so I can imagine when she’s not got all that on he’s even more disappointed.

I had kind of forgot about the wedding day until now and hoped their emotional connection would override all that, but clearly not.

Maeve was a bit of a cow tonight to Nelly. I didn't expect Nelly to blow up like that, Steven is under her skin, yuck.
Ashley can't catch a break with Grace, if he'd have been matched with Nelly or Sarah.
Although Nelly really needs to build up her self esteem, I think she showed Steven to much vulnerability, keep that for long-term relationships.

Surprised they’re picking JR and Divarni and no one is picking Steven and Nelly for couples most likely to split . Weird. I don’t think either of those couples will last but tbh Nelly is one who needs to leave asap for her emotional safety.

Both Divarni and Steven are very concerned with their image I’ve noticed. Obviously with Steven he’s much more explosive about it but I think Divarni’s still a bit too much into pretending things are great.

And Julia is almost the opposite but the same if that makes sense- she’s very much into image control too but on her side she’s underplaying how close they’ve got physically.

I love Paul and he ‘calls them out’ on bad behaviour but if Paul really was credible, he’d put an end to the abuse and explain why.

I do wonder if Maeve has some hygiene issues that bother him. I know it’s harsh but she often looks like her hair is really greasy and that she generally doesn’t look after herself. He clearly is quite image conscious. Just a thought.

I’m think Paul has been nothing but an enabler of abuse on this show. The way Sarah was treated by the show and by all three so called experts was unacceptable IMHO.

If she had been treated like that at work she’d have had a clear case against st her employer for failure to safeguard . In this case they actually amplified and encouraged her abuse.

He should’ve raised the hygiene thing with her tactfully, rather than beating about the bush and going on about nails and sunbeds- (are those things even healthy for your skin?!) if his real concern is that she doesn’t get in the shower enough or whatever.

Exactly. They rounded on her for next to nothing and let others doing the same and worse pass without a mention. It's always the women who get the real shouting and nasty behaviour from the experts. Steven got Paul calmly explaining, as did Casper last year despite both of them actively shouting and questioning the experts. It's very misogynistic and clear who they tolerate.

Paul & Mel have been the WORST this season.

Good! I hope it doesn't just encourage more of the same for clicks though. I heard he was on a show about domestic violence and was baffled when someone said women need their own bank account as he said this was bad for the relationship. They had to explain an escape fund to him...🙄

The thing with Sarah was she was desperately trying to hang in there to get as much air time as possible but they also paired her with someone who she was never going to like. She was cruel and immature at times but she definitely didn’t deserve the beating she took. Especially when you’ve got vile toxic men like Stephen on the show.

The way they treated Sarah and Steven so different, is insane, a d really sarah hasn't even done anything really other than have no spark, I don't think she was disrespectful yet Stevens allowed to be abusive he should have been booted off or warned

Just regarding Ash's anchor tattoo - an anchor can represent organ donation (my dad has one as a living donor. Although smaller than Ash's and not on his pec!). So it may be there's a donor link there.
