MAFS #8 NO SPOILERS. Reiss wishes he had married a mango to do the horizontal tango. Abi's flaps are in distrust, trapped in tiny fishing line. No boobs or labia, alas. Dean still sucks.

Just went down a weird FB wormhole trying to find the Paul interview and noticed a sharp correlation of Union Jack profiles wanting to marry Dean. I know, I know, correlation does not equal causation but...it does strike me these are also the people who love cruises and Butlins.

Ash does work at sea.

I thought with the comment about getting her nails done etc, Joe was suggesting Maeve did some stuff to occupy herself because he wasn’t feeling up to being sociable.

That's what I heard too

Maeve was a bit of a cow tonight to Nelly. I didn't expect Nelly to blow up like that, Steven is under her skin, yuck.
Ashley can't catch a break with Grace, if he'd have been matched with Nelly or Sarah.
Although Nelly really needs to build up her self esteem, I think she showed Steven to much vulnerability, keep that for long-term relationships.
Jk is absolutely beautiful on the outside, she is not a nice person.

I think Maeve genuinely was asking why she put up with crap. I don't think meant it in a nasty way. More bemused.

Lipglosser · 15/10/2025 23:33

Also Paul Brunson admits on his we need to talk podcast with myleen at around 1.14, that when he met his wife, she was already in a relationship with his friend! And he deliberately set his friend up and got him out the way, in his car….

mylene did pull him up on that tho, and I thought good for you mylene

so I can’t see why he thinks he’s some sort of expert really !!

Lipglosser · 15/10/2025 23:33

Just another bullshitter really

Empress13 · 16/10/2025 00:14

OMG where to start! I think JR thinks DIvvy is beneath her and as a PP said maybe she’s got someone else on the outside. Stephen needs to go just like Brad was made to leave the experiment in last series he is an aggressive bully
Brad was the same started out nice to his wife then started controlling her and became abusive. I think Nelly puts up with it as she doesn’t want to show her family that coming from a strict Asian family that she’s failed at her marriage. As for Joe I think he realises Maeve is quite rough and has no class he really needs to leave .

ExtraPaddingForFallingOver · 16/10/2025 00:44

Just watching bits of tonight’s as I’m on nights, (ooo a Dean rap) but just saw on Paul Brunson’s FB him saying
‘oh we only get to see the dinner parties and hear what they bring to us’
people are really having a go at him, because of the Steven/Nelly situation and the constant bollockings of Sarah.
So glad all this harmful sh!t is being called out finally

JaneJeffer · 16/10/2025 01:18

JR is proper weird telling Div not to talk about sex when she’s been talking to everyone about it!

Steven needs to be sent home. He’s dangerous.

I think Joe has decided that marriage isn’t his thing

PerfectYear321 · 16/10/2025 01:24

FirstCuppa · 15/10/2025 21:21

I did expect it from him, I think we were all quite surprised Maeve wasn't primped and primed for a few episodes as she seems to be into nails and eyelashes. I think he is deffo the type because he clearly has filler in his lips, has painted his body like a fresco and has fairly obviously dabbled in some beard tattooing. I think he feels he is a walking work of art right now in comparison.

Edited

I suspect hair tattoo too

Thank you...someone else who suspects lio filler. Thought I was going mad!

PerfectYear321 · 16/10/2025 01:25

This whole thing with JR and Div is so distasteful.

How very different from the home life of our own dear Queen!

I don't think her family seem strict at all! They need to be stricter! Steven got away with murder during the family visit

What concerns me are the younger people that watch it and think Steven’s behaviour is ok

and that Sarah is out of order for not fancying a man

my youngest is 11 and told me some classmates watch this with their parents 🙈🙈🙈

Mafsisback · 16/10/2025 06:14

Yeah they may not keen on Steven now because of his behaviour but her family seemed to be welcome Steven initially, and a strict Asian family wouldn’t have been okay with their daughter marrying a man with 2 kids for that he had out of wedlock for a start. Especially a non-Indian man at that.

Mafsisback · 16/10/2025 06:19

I had a look at Steven’s social media and I don’t know if it’s filters or he has just aged rapidly recently but he looks so much better a few years ago. He didn’t look as skinny and his facial hair looked a lot better too.

Thingyfanding1 · 15/10/2025 22:02

Agree that it’s weird that Nelly and Stephen weren’t picked as must unsuitable.

I do wonder if Maeve has some hygiene issues that bother him. I know it’s harsh but she often looks like her hair is really greasy and that she generally doesn’t look after herself. He clearly is quite image conscious. Just a thought.

Edited

This is a really good spot! I didn't even consider that!!
Mauve didn't even change our of lounge gear or run a brush through her hair for his Mum coming around.

I also found it so uncomfortable when Nelly defended Ratboys treatment of her and said to camera how she'd basically rather this than to be on her own again!!
He really did wonders with her on that honeymoon didn't he! Cretin 🤢

GertieLawrence · 16/10/2025 08:50

FirstCuppa · 15/10/2025 21:18

She just wanted it to look like he was besotted and she was doing nothing to encourage it. Snakey.

Exactly this

Hmm, maybe not unhygienic, but sloppy, she probably wears her dressing gown a lot on her days off.
Not judging, I get tired of looking tidy too, I'm guilty of the ponytail, no make-up, easy wear clothing joggers when I'm not in work or seeing anyone other than the usual people. 😅
I do envy those who can make an effort all the time.

Yes, but she picked Nelly who was already feeling insecure as an avoid during the game. Nelly is harmless compared to Steven and Jk.
I think Maeve will start lashing out as things tumble with Joe, she reminds me of Holly from last year. She could have looked clean for his mother's visit.

chaosmaker · 16/10/2025 09:40

FirstCuppa · 15/10/2025 22:19

Good! I hope it doesn't just encourage more of the same for clicks though. I heard he was on a show about domestic violence and was baffled when someone said women need their own bank account as he said this was bad for the relationship. They had to explain an escape fund to him...🙄

Paul the so called IXPERT? That is appalling that they don't know the fundamentals of safeguarding and why would he say separate finances are bad for a relationship? More of a healthy relationship as both would have the means to leave if needed. As long as the bills and stuff are pooled properly.

Mafsisback · 16/10/2025 09:41

Thinking aloud here and interrogating why I (and many others) perceive Grace and Maeves appearances a bit differently…

I feel someone like Grace gets away with hair scraped back and/or casual clothes because she’s slim with a killer bone structure and kind of fine straight hair and quite “good” skin (tight, smooth even looking)

Rightly or wrongly it’s harder for someone like her to be seen as sloppy or scruffy. To me she just looks like effortlessly pretty or girl next door/ natural etc when she does that.

When Maeve is barefaced, with her thick wavy hair (which is amazing hair btw) pulled back, no makeup, lounge wear etc it doesn’t quite have the same effect. I don’t think “girl next door”.

Not saying she’s obese but she is larger than Grace and I do know some bigger woman who say they feel they need to make more of an effort to be well groomed or they’ll be viewed as sloppy or even smelly.

chaosmaker · 16/10/2025 09:48

I make no effort at all and can't be bothered. Yes to Joe having lip filler and possibly Reiss too. It's all too much trouble to let snails run themselves over my face for a terrible but 'fashionable' look. I wonder how hard lots of these people will cringe when they see it back in 30 years time.
I am mostly a decent human being though which to me counts for a lot more than outer faff does.

Does m have hair and lash extensions etc ?

I think people with these struggle to do the clean look
apart from when they are very first done
as they just kinda look scruffy when even slightly growing out

them pedo style glass don’t look good on anyone tho
so a new pair of decent glasses would be good

She might well do - have extensions - considering the industry she works in. I think she owns a beauty salon right?

Are they called pedo style glasses - I had no idea!

Garamousalata · 16/10/2025 10:06

I’m so pleased Sarah finally escaped. I hope she’s ok on the outside.

No.
