A TV documentary that follows the work of a police force will show how the investigation into the actions of a teenage killer unfolded.

Nicholas Prosper used a shotgun to kill his mother Juliana Falcon, 48, his brother Kyle, 16, and his 13-year-old sister, Giselle, at their home in Luton on 13 September 2024.
The 19-year-old, who was arrested in the hours after the murders, was jailed for 49 years in March. A trial heard he intended to carry out a shooting at his former primary school.

The Channel Four series 24 Hours in Police Custody, which follows the work of investigators at Bedfordshire Police, will feature the case over two nights on 5 and 6 October.

Nicholas Prosper jailed for at least 49 years for Luton triple murders

After killing his family in their tower block in Luton, Nicholas Prosper planned to carry out a mass shooting at his former primary school.

Wouldn’t it be nice if we had centres for the victims of sexual assault, with facilities such as gyms, therapists, spin classes, etc?

The poor guys that this monster hurt had their lives ruined, and they could do with a bit of the luxury treatment he and his ilk are getting.

They deserve nothing more than an exercise yard for an hour a day.

Why on earth is there a dedicated sex offenders prison that's run like a holiday camp? Of all the prisoners in the UK, why have they been given such an easy ride? There's something very disturbing about this decision.

So that complete bastard doesn’t have to worry about food, rent or bills for the rest of his life; he’ll get three meals a day plus whatever snacks; has therapy, stress management and fucking yoga classes on tap; will get a doctor’s appointment when he needs one, has access to a free gym and they even provide therapy dogs?!?

Meanwhile, his victims get a crack habit and fuck all else.

The world has gone absolutely mad.

ThisOldThang · 29/01/2026 06:35

And the prison's slogan is:

"HMP Rye Hill - Making the difference to all we come into contact with..."

🤮

I find it to be incredibly sinister.

I'm watching the programme that was after 24 Hours IPC

It's good
https://www.channel4.com/programmes/999-what-happened-next

It's a good programme, but repeats too bloody much what has happened, like low budjet American shows. It is so annoying and erratic that I had to stop watching. It is a shame because it's very interesting.

ThePure · 01/02/2026 00:19

Crying again watching the program about Carson Grimes. DI Gilbert what a hero. It clearly meant so much to the victims to see justice done. I really felt for them.

Edited

Agree 100%
It's completely sinister.
I feel like I'm going mad if I try and work out the reasoning behind keeping all the sexual predators together, in such comfort, too.
It's obscene how well they are treated.

ThePure · 01/02/2026 18:14

I assume it’s to stop them being assaulted by the other prisoners in the main estate because there’s a duty of care to try to stop that. When you saw that sadly so many of Carson’s victims ended up in prison I’m sure there would be a lot of people wanted to take matters into their own hands.

SingingOcean · 01/02/2026 20:14

But why does it have to be so comfortable?

ThisOldThang · 01/02/2026 20:52

Perverts at the Home Office laying the groundwork in case their pasts ever catch up with them?

That's exactly what I meant ThisOldThang

SingingOcean · 02/02/2026 03:31

I find that very unbelievable.

Lalgarh · 02/02/2026 20:40

Looks like it's a repeat of catching a killer at 10pm tonight about the case mentioned upthread

Toddlerteaplease · 03/02/2026 22:39

Bit of an escalation in Justice’s behaviour. The police officer interviewing him was clearly enjoying the fact that his name is Justice. I did feel a bit sorry for him at the end. But there was no excuse for trying to kill complete strangers.

MrsLargeEmbodied · 04/02/2026 04:14

i was so pleased with his sentence
just because he was sweet looking they absolutely changed their attitude towards him - of course he had an awful childhood, the solicitor was laying it on rather thick

Lalgarh · 16/02/2026 21:34

The "horror house" 2nd part is being repeated

Toddlerteaplease · 17/02/2026 12:22

I gave up on these two episodes as it’s already been covered in 999 what happened next. So couldn’t see the point in repeating the same thing.

purpleme12 · 17/02/2026 15:09

Last night and last week's 24 Hours in Police Custody was a repeat from 2021

999: What Happened Next hasn't covered this case

The woman who found the bones should really have checked with the police rather than just wrongly assuming there used to be a cemetery there. I wonder what she did with the bones.

I got really confused about the bones bit..were they In his garden? Is it suspected that he killed people ?

Nc4dis · 09/03/2026 16:10

I did feel a bit sorry for Justice McCann, he has obviously had a horrible childhood and was completely off his face on drugs when he went on his shooting rampage. Obviously doesn’t excuse what he did and that poor guy he shot in the chest.

Hels20 · 05/04/2026 09:56

Has anyone else watched the new Forensics on BBC iPlayer? New episodes dropped in March. The first about that terrible killing of the 12 year old school boy. Not quite the same as 24 hours in police custody but good in a different way. And I always like Siobhan Finneran (sp?) and her voice (she is the narrator)

Toddlerteaplease · 05/04/2026 16:01

Yes. It’s excellent. The first episode was in the news a week before it was aired.

whatohwhattodo · 09/04/2026 20:48

Just watching one and laughing as the guy asked the Police to fix his door (dawn raid) as he was fed up of having to pay £1200 to fix it 🤣
