A TV documentary that follows the work of a police force will show how the investigation into the actions of a teenage killer unfolded.

Nicholas Prosper used a shotgun to kill his mother Juliana Falcon, 48, his brother Kyle, 16, and his 13-year-old sister, Giselle, at their home in Luton on 13 September 2024.
The 19-year-old, who was arrested in the hours after the murders, was jailed for 49 years in March. A trial heard he intended to carry out a shooting at his former primary school.

The Channel Four series 24 Hours in Police Custody, which follows the work of investigators at Bedfordshire Police, will feature the case over two nights on 5 and 6 October.

Nicholas Prosper jailed for at least 49 years for Luton triple murders

After killing his family in their tower block in Luton, Nicholas Prosper planned to carry out a mass shooting at his former primary school.

Is that with the nurse and sex parties? I laughed when the police officer was showing meth faces and how they age and they showed the nurse’s work badge looking spritely then edited to show how old and battered he looked.

Putting it kindly, did anyone else think that the bobby with the uncle and cousin at the first crime scene was a bit out of her depth?

No. I think she acted with professionalism and compassion in extraordinary circumstances.

Yes 😭 and in his interview he suddenly said “there are some very powerful people involved” and I was like this can’t get any better. It just can’t!!! God I am going to watch it again 🤣

Speaking of old episodes, does anyone know if the Black Widow 2-parter is available to watch anywhere? I’ve heard that one is really good but I haven’t seen it

We’ve been trying and failing to find that one too!

LandofTute · 28/12/2025 14:24

Was the Black Widow one the one where she was having full blown histrionics when the police were trying to question her and making out she was in agony?
I think her boyfriend recorded her for some reason and heard her plotting to kill him. Or plotting to kill someone

Oh god yes. I seem to recall she laid out flat on the floor whilst the police officers rolled their eyes

dapsnotplimsolls · 28/12/2025 15:22

I don't think the Black Widow episodes are available any longer due to legal issues.

Yes. Crying out in fake agony. It was bonkers. There was nothing wrong with her.

CharlotteLightandDark · 28/12/2025 23:41

And then demanded a gluten free/vegan meal but ended up eating a regular sandwich. Those officers had the patience of saints!

Did anyone watch Catch a killer last night? Brutal!

ApisMellifera · 07/01/2026 13:18

Yes, I have been thinking about it ever since. That poor man, the agony he must have suffered. And the killer is still free. It was a very disturbing watch.

Lalgarh · 07/01/2026 13:57

Yes the fact that man is still at large, likely in Turkey but he has family here is really worrying

Ceyhan (pronounced Jayhan) Dinler

ApisMellifera · 07/01/2026 14:20

There was such force and brutality involved in the attack, I just can't see how he could have done it alone. The police indicated that the tongue was removed while the victim was alive....

Lalgarh · 07/01/2026 14:35

It said this was the first case where someone had actually been found after being dumped in landfill

I saw something a while back on how they're now filming the rubbish that goes to recycling plants nominally to use AI to sort items. Maybe they might also need to start scanning for body parts 😱

BlondeFool · 07/01/2026 14:41

I must have missed a bit. Did they mention motive? His ex partner seemed so sweet. Seriously tragic.

Lalgarh · 07/01/2026 14:43

Was involved with the girlfriend of the murderer. Allegedly

Oh wow. I definitely missed that. Crazy. I thought more people were involved to torture and mutilate him.

Yes, that was awful. We couldn’t believe the brutality and that people like this walk amongst us. Scary.

Evisam · 07/01/2026 18:38

I am local to this area. I worry that if I was ever called for jury duty for this case I would be swayed because of this documentary. It is great to highlight a case, like Crimewatch did, but if the case has not been tried it may be thrown out because it might not be seen as a fair trial.

Hideous murder. I hope they catch the killer.

They wouldn’t have shown it if that was the case. They’ve presumably only shown evidence that they would use in court and they’ve named him as a suspect.

Does anyone know why the ‘Family Vendetta’ episodes (shown recently in December) have disappear from 4 on demand? 😢

Possibly new proceedings are underway, or the identity of the child was being made public perhaps. It'll be for legal reasons I imagine.

purpleme12 · 09/01/2026 20:58

... Or it could simply be that that episode was only on 4od for a certain period of time anyway, like what happens with a lot of episodes/programmes

It would make sense considering the date it was aired as well

New 24 Hours on this Tuesday at 9pm titled "The Secret Network"
