Have to move to the Spoilers thread, I just HAD to know what happened next the last 3 episodes - needed it like oxygen! But now there is nothing decent to watch on tv, have tried and ditched sooo many series 🙃 (enjoyed Boots and The Diplomat though). Debating starting from Series 1 of this again: wonder how long till another series though…

@Peachy2005 I did exactly that - had to finish this series then I have gone back and started it again from s1. Such good tv.

I can see the similarity with Annie and SEB @snemrose
She has a beautiful ethereal quality to her face.
The service was lovely with so many of Annie’s colleagues attending but would that happen - all I could think of was there must be mayhem on the streets of Belfast with so many officers at the funeral service.

I have binge watched all three series since last Saturday.

Absolutely brilliant TV, the best thing I’ve watched for a long time. It’s right up there with Happy Valley for me.

As someone who works in social care, I found series 3 quite upsetting. A lot of the young lads I worked with were running drugs. Vulnerable kids just looking to belong somewhere and have some money are massive targets for drugs gangs, it’s incredibly sad. It’s a very real problem, and not just in major cities.

I may well be confusing this with another programme that’s on at the moment, but didn’t the police want to get an unlocked phone to give them access to the drug-selling app? That way they could get more information about who’s running it.

@Blondeshavemorefun He had to persuade her to willingly give access to her phone and the drug app as they couldn’t risk doing it illegally again after all the trouble with the Professional Standards investigation.

Suppose the other guy was in shock when he pulled the glass out of his leg. I’m sure he knew better: pity Annie didn’t stop him…

I must admit to watching the last episode straight after this one as I couldn't wait till next week. I may atill watch it next week as well as it was very good. I have loved this series and hope it keeps on.

I'm not sure I understand what Collie meant by "pitch" the solicitor (or who sent him the text). I took it to mean try to "turn" the solicitor into informing. Is that right?

That was how I took it.

You're right, Annie's face is ethereal. I could see her playing an elf in Lord of the Rings. I could look at her face for hours and not get bored. It will be fascinating to see how her face ages over the years - hopefully she will stay on our screens, I think she's a really good actor.

I don’t have nerves of steel, but I like ‘appointment television’ where I can imagine people all over the country tuning in (as the phrase used to be) to watch it at the same time.

Something about a pleasure deferred is a pleasure enhanced.

It was the same with Happy Valley, I think.

Imagine also Celebrity Traitors, where you can’t binge watch, and you get the likes of Richard Osman and Marina Hyde enthusiastically discussing the programme once a week after it’s been broadcast without knowing how it ends.
