Also what was the other police drama set in Ireland? Was more like an afternoon drama, almost a comedy. It was like three police in like a terraced house, one was female, set by the seaside in a place where you wouldn't have that many murders in real life. I loved it and can't remember if it ended.

deeahgwitch · 02/10/2025 08:33

I can’t remember the name of it @daffodilandtulipbut I thought it was daft.
It was on in the afternoon on BBC 1 afaik.
The good thing about it was that it gave employment to quite a few Northern Irish actors.

Lovemycat2023 · 02/10/2025 08:35

Best characters in a TV drama for ages, I like all the police ones, the young ones are great.

Yes, it was the one with all the 'double O Bs' I think.

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/10/2025 21:59

I don’t understand the white van drama and not today

OP posts:
Lasttra · 06/10/2025 22:06

White van contains dissers from Derry. They were going to attack the police. The disser boss calls the attack off due to his son's death.

Peachy2005 · 06/10/2025 22:10

OMG best tv hour of the week and it goes way too fast!

Was in floods for Aisling: so devastating for emergency services in these situations. My mum was an ambulance nurse: I don’t think they ever get over some of the calls.

Tina had some great lines and delivery: fck me, Tinder isn’t what it used to be. I’m not fcking Trócaire.

@Blondeshavemorefun the drug gang sent the 200k to Derry to get dissident Repubs to assassinate a cop. The white van was going to attack the cops doing the death notice. The Dad had been identified from the licence plate at the crash as a known Republican so he knew there was a hit out. He told the people in the van “not today” due to the circumstances (doing the death notice).

SevenSeasOfRhye · 06/10/2025 22:14

I got emotional at the death scene. Brilliantly acted.
