No spoilers but this documentary is out there as one of the most disturbing I have seen in a long time, the manipulation, the death threats, the abhorrent sexual messages. Has anyone else seen this? Worth a watch I think.

It's a documentary you may like about a cyberstalker that was pretty shocking

I just watched it - I knew who it was going to be within a couple of minutes but I am amazed at how lightly they got off with it, particularly as minors were involved!

I can’t believe more fuss wasn't made about the disgusting, explicit sexual
nature of the messages.

The poor girl is a victim of terrible emotional abuse at the hands of this person (trying not to accidentally give spoilers.) Even the emails she received once the perpetrator was in prison were manipulative and nasty.

I don’t believe a word the perpetrator said.

The messages were absolutely shocking. Telling a 14yr old to kill herself and the disgusting sexual things. My God.
The person that did it needs to be on a register.

Watched it last night. The more I think about it the more I’m angry at how it was made, I feel it really minimised what had taken place.

Totally agree. Feels like they totally minimised the sexual content of the texts. Absolutely disgusting and she shouldn’t be allowed near children.

I can’t believe how much they glossed over the senders clear infatuation with Owen, it really felt like that was more of a reason for the messages than their excuse. Otherwise why message the new girlfriend too?
