The Guest, the upcoming BBC thriller starring Eve Myles, has unveiled a devilish new trailer.

The four-part series (https://www.digitalspy.com/tv/a65286088/the-guest-first-look-bbc/) sees the Broadchurch (https://www.digitalspy.com/broadchurch/)and Torchwood (https://www.digitalspy.com/torchwood/) star portray Fran, a business owner who is thrust into a "toxic and beguiling" relationship with one of her employees, Ria (Gabrielle Creevy).

The Guest is a hugely entertaining, deftly plotted thriller that will have viewers gripped," said Lindsay Salt, Director of BBC Drama, while Nick Andrews, Head of Commissioning for BBC Cymru Wales, dubbed it a "a twisty-turny edge of your seat thriller".

So many unanswered questions..

Why did the woman attack Ria in the shop? I thought maybe she was perhaps Ria's dead date's wife but she wouldn't know Ria had been his killer.

So the dead date [can't remember his name] and Fran know each other , but it can't have been a set up as Fran didn't know Ria would be in the house pretending it's hers .

I guess we'll find out eventually!

She’s relation as recap said she had the same surname

I think Fran deliberately engineered it so that Ria and Mike (dead guy) would meet. She encouraged her to meet someone new and to use that specific app. I doubt she intended him to wind up dead, maybe she was using him as another way to control and isolate Ria. Not sure what the prior relationship between Fran and Mike is.

She’s definitely going to try and get Ria to do something, maybe drug smuggling, maybe she wants her to kill off her husband so she can be with Richard?

Yes I definitely think that Fran has said Rhia can move into the guest house next to her property so it was that that we saw at the end

So who can be sending the messages from dead Mike’s phone? Can’t be be Fran as she was sitting next to Ria in the garden of the beach house when Ria received the last one.

I can't believe Ria drank the wine. Also, the way she just meekly accepted Fran taking her car keys.

My first thought was that she had been framed for the husband's murder, but is it also possible she actually did it?

i thught drugged wine too. But then I remember how she'd gobbled down a handful of pills earlier. Any alcohol on top of them...

It's all quite intriguing isn't it. I do like Fran's outfits, she's so quietly glam. I just wish she'd take Ria to the hairdressers and give her a makeover, the overdyed 80s style bouffant mane isn't flattering.

Yes she's definitely fitted her up for the murder what with that little hammer thing but then will Ria throw the sex clip at her and theyll decide to get rid of the body together.

Is it the last one tonight or next week?

It's a slow burner but watchable for the soft furnishings if nothing else.
