SPOILER!!!
Just watched in bed on my laptop which was a treat.
Another short episode-26 minutes!! Not a lot happened.
Loved Seema and garden guy.
Can somebody tell Brady that the Ronald McDonald look is not cool?

weddinghelp2026 · 08/08/2025 08:17

Spoiler

A terrible filler episode, editing was all over the place. Convinced more than ever that they were cancelled.

The guy who plays Brady is one of the better actors on the show though.

SheilaFentiman · 08/08/2025 08:30

Spoilers (ish)

just watched it - wow, did they actually make 10 episodes and then just chop up the last few to make 12?

I liked Charlotte in this episode - the Rock story and the acting.

S3E11 Spoilers ahead

Well it was a nostalgic episode this week, feels like a lot of threads are being tied up. I cried more than once.

Storylines
Well I guess we’re all gonna cry seeing what Lisette has done to the apartment. I stopped watching 15mins ago and I’m still cross at the cheap workmanship. However, we now draw a line under the place. As does Carrie.

I do think that Herbert’s storyline might get dark next week.

Loving Seema and Adam. He’s a keeper.

I loved the gay proposal in Bergdorf Goodman - did not see the cold feet coming (although I should’ve because I did the same thing in Ibiza once 😂)

Loved Charlotte’s honesty about how she was feeling at Rock looking more Rose. And it’s fair to say, that kid can sing and dance 👏

Will Carrie buy the basement apartment? She’d be a fool not to. Will Duncan return next week to give us a happy ever after? I hope so.

Didn’t love Harry’s manipulation of the Thanksgiving. I guess we’re gonna have a lot more penis news next week…meanwhile The stuffing sounds intriguing.. definitely one up on Paxo 😂 Poor Miranda’s gonna end up eating pie for days seeing as everyone is bailing. Loved Joy not interfering in the row with Brady, and obviously loved the gorgeous dogs.

Did not love the creepy principal. Loved Mrs Fish from the Gilded Age popping up as the editor.

Fashion
Some lovely pieces this week for Carrie. And we got a trip into her old closet.. Yay! I loved the blue coat affair at the end. And the green number she wore to the kids play. Even Miranda’s clothes were ok this week. Definitely did not love the weird indeterminate length kilt. And what in the holy name of all things DFS is Carrie furnishing that apartment with? It looked like a page from the ‘terrible estate agent’s photos’ website where all of the ‘lonely chairs of solitude’ have convened together in one place. Nothing is cohesive. It could be stunning.

all in all, a satisfying watch for me, but it was only 37 minutes so I hope next week’s is a long one!

Epilogue
The Woman wondered just how on earth her diary-like drivel ever got published. Then she realised sharing her purple prose thoughts that should’ve stayed unread was the reason she was alone in her garden.

Quite an enjoyable episode. Charlotte's sadness about Rose was the most poignant moment of the whole series.

Carrie's "novel" is so bad it deserves the scare quotes. Couldn't they have paid Julian Fellowes himself to write a few lines of Gilded Age era prose for the show?

My laptop said 26 minutes!
Yes the horrid hospital waiting room, pink chair!! Wth!
Dislike the decor, too empty.

Doubleraspberry · 08/08/2025 09:20

Spoilers

I Ioved the Charlotte sadness, predicted Harry’s lack of erection before he was even officially diagnosed, and am intrigued by her stuffing.

Neither Antony nor Guiseppe really want this commitment. Happy break up next week for them.

I’d have been irate to end up in the audience behind LTW’s headgear.

The side characters just keep coming.

Agree that everyone will end up at Miranda’s house. I did like that Seema was Carrie’s plus one rather than any sort of pretence that Seema and Miranda know each other, but also felt it shows up how much this show has failed to base itself round a group of friends. Just too many random storylines and people.

The only thing that feels remotely convincing about the possibility that these last episodes were in any way designed to be so is the thumpingly meta Woman and the pressure not to leave her alone at the end of her novel.

Tagyoureit · 08/08/2025 09:21

26 minutes of jumping about. Did feel a bit rushed.

I really felt for Charlotte with the Rock storyline.
Brady is a full on twat, how he managed to pull any girl with that hair do is beyond me.

The old apartment has been butchered!! It looked awful!

And yes, the furnishings in Carrie's house leave a lot to be desired!!

Over40Overdating · 08/08/2025 10:20

Hate Carrie’s new decor but, much like her clothes, I wonder if the access to limitless money has dulled her taste - previously she was mixing high end with cheap, mixing and matching, making do. Her overall look was eclectic out of necessity. Now she doesn’t have to look at price tags so has become generic over all.

I related so much to her trip to her old apartment. I was feeling very nostalgic and homesick for my first flat recently. It was the first place I felt like a grown up, with my own home. Life felt so full of potential and excitement. I googled it and the last right move listing came up - it has been remodelled so completely not been the front door is recognisable. You really can’t ever ‘go home’ in that sense.

Made no sense to me that Lisette would chop her already tiny apartment like that because she’s lonely or scared. She lived alone before no? And she’s on the first floor - who is coming in the window at that level? Carrie lives there for 20 odd years.

Plus the flatmate gets the kitchen and she gets the bathroom? And they never even removed Carrie’s hideous blue wallpaper?

I’d have loved to see Lisette being heartbroken over this guy but feeling safe and home in the apartment, with her workspace laid out and her own personality on display as we saw Carrie so many times.

I liked Miranda saying ‘Brooklyn who’ - she only ever moved there for whiny Steve and to raise Brady. I’m glad she’s getting to live the life she originally envisioned for herself now.

I wish Charlotte would move. It’s always felt odd to me that she has Harry would stay in the apartment she won in the divorce and raised 2 kids in one bedroom when they could easily have afforded something bigger.

myladyjane · 08/08/2025 10:34

I loved Carries Green coat at the school play. Also loved her line re living musical theatre especially at high school level and baby’s first turkey. Still annoyed at the reference to 22 years with Aidan. I am rewatching the old seasons at the moment and she was with him for 2 sets of 8 episodes or something. Less time than Charlotte was with Trey.

i sort of loved Harry being an arse re thanksgiving. I think the annoying ness is the most realistic thing in the series.

Member984815 · 08/08/2025 10:36

I've it recorded but it's got audio description and I find it distracting for me. Great for those who need it but it's not for me. I'll have to wait until it records again tonight without it or is there a way to turn it off ?

PurplebeadedFendi · 08/08/2025 11:22

Mrs Fish! Of course!! Thank you @Netaporter !

Sounds like cancellation. From your description of another short episode where not much happens, sounds like they didn’t anticipate having to tie things up with satisfying conclusions. So sad for the SATC legacy.

SheilaFentiman · 08/08/2025 12:06

I wonder if Carrie will take her book away from Epilogue Insister and go to Duncan’s ex wife instead??

If you watch on Sky you can log online via Sky Go.

greengreyblue · 08/08/2025 12:20

I don’t see how they can tie this all up in one last episode. But as the storyline for Carrie is being echoed in her book, I think the bit at the end where she is typing the epilogue is where we are heading. A visitor from overseas. I think Duncan is set to return or she’ll get contact from him and we’ll be left hanging, we’ll be left hanging, we’ll be left hanging.

Holluschickie · 08/08/2025 13:11

SPOILER

Another nothingburger of an episode. They were definitely cancelled because it was just a succession of choppy scenes and weird interludes ( the gay principal. why?)..

This series has made me hate Aidan and now Harry. Can he not stop talking about his penis and moaning about Miranda's thanksgiving? Ditto Herbert and the election. Shut up already. So many moany men.

Poor LTW in another clown costume. Wardrobe hates her.

I am a published author btw- not famous at all but in Foyles- and editors are never that sycophantic as Carrie's editor. Her book is so awful: how does everyone love it?

Carrie's decor is really ugly. Miranda's is lovely. Also liked both their clothes. Carrie's sparkly dress was a bit over the top but gorgeous.

Brady needs to be kicked into the middle of next week! I wonder if Joy will leave because she is fed up of messy families.

Anyway next week maybe Duncan might return, but all the other storylines will be left unfinished.

Holluschickie · 08/08/2025 13:21

Rock looked very cute in the Millie dress though.

me neither,
unless it’s a 2 hour film length episode!

PicturePuzzle · 08/08/2025 14:34

Carrie saying to Lisette that the longest relationship she managed was 22 years. Ah no love, you were married to someone else in between. Makes zero sense and makes me want to throw things at the TV.

The Charlotte storyline about being sad about Rose/Rock was well acted.

Brady needs a good kick, cheeky f**ker.
