Thought I’d sound the KLAXON and round everyone up for some Strictly chat about possible/rumoured contestants. They usually start announcing soon!

Better than getting Charlotte Crosby I suppose. She's so shouty in everything I've seen her in, so I'm sure she'd get on everyone's nerves if she was on Strictly!

Maybe they are the "celebs" and I am out of touch and probably no different from last year but seems it is just reality TV people now.

I am not above reality TV- I have watched some seasons of The Apprentice and I love the Traitors- but it's a particular type of person who goes on those.

I'm wondering about the lesser known celebs. Maybe they sign up to increase exposure amd therefore more TV opportunities.

Maybe some of the more famous ones feel they don't need it or that the constant scrutiny of their private lives and behaviour onscreen is not worth the gig? I'm pleased Alex Kingston is doing it, but she's quite famous so I can't imagine it's to boost her career.

But Thomas Skinner gets views for showing off his breakfasts according to wiki.
In theory, he can recycle Montagues and Capulets (last used by Sophie and Brendan) then early boot. Bish, bash, bosh

I stopped watching the apprentice years ago so only have a vague memory of him being a cockney geezer. If Rylan knows him, he can come and support one week.
But I'll give him a chance cos I'm fair like that!

Vicky, as well as Dani, is irksome as she hasn't done much either, other than reality. I last saw her on the channel 4 underdog show about Josh must win, with Grimmy. Pete Wicks can come and support her.

It wouldn't surprise me if Thomas got Karen or Katya, despite them deserving a ringer each this year, to balance it a bit. Unless they go for Amy so she is included but not having to have a long stint.

Vicky, no idea, she's marmite I expect.

I just think being a "celeb" is their job its the way of the world now, !

I actually don't mind if reality people are good TV presenters or whatever but the flitting about being famous irritates me.

I’m just catching up, I think Vicky is a Loose Woman and they have had a few of those but I don’t think either she or Thomas will have enough of a fanbase to keep them in unless they prove to be absolutely magical on the dancefloor

The rare thing of a soap star that I know! I never know the reality/influencer types or anyone from soaps from the last 20+ years. I usually know the sports people, music people and non-soap actors.

You know who I would love? Keeley Hawes and Matthew McFadyen. But they are too big for this!

I've seen him in a musical i.e. Blood Brothers but it not really a dancing role so no idea if he can shake his thing but it might hint at a stage school background.
