Thought I’d sound the KLAXON and round everyone up for some Strictly chat about possible/rumoured contestants. They usually start announcing soon!

I’ve heard Dani Dyer, Stacey Solomon, Ashley Cain and Tom Parker Bowles

Looks like a lot of rumours were true!

I don't know who he is but I never really know footballers.

I’m pretty pleased with the reveals so far. I actually saw the series of Love Island Dani was on (don’t often watch it) and she came across well. She has 3 young kids now so a lot for her to juggle.

I hope the footballer isn’t made to look silly like previous footballers have been

The lovely Patrick Grant sitting right there saying he'd love to do the show ...... and instead we get another bloody Love Islander. I always hoped Patrick would do Strictly back in the Natalie Lowe days so they could do beautiful, elegant tall person ballroom together.

I had heard of Jimmy but don't know much about him. I'm going to be thinking about hasselback potatoes a lot. I like them with lots of vinegar and tartare sauce.

Vaguely heard of the footballer. Hassleback potatoes would make excellent costume inspiration

really excited about Alex Kingston signing up. Or so much about Danni Dyer. I thought she’d done it already but her and others like her are pretty interchangeable.

Alex Kingston definitely feels like a Name Signing. I was surprised she’s in her 60s. Good on her.

Really scraping the barrel with the non-celebrity Dani. Comparing skills, talents or achievements with the other three names is just embarrassing.

I hope they treat Jimmy properly, and don't dress him on stupid football attire and do a "themed" cha cha cha to We're On The Ball by Ant and Dec. That's also embarrassing.

I like Dani and we'll see her Dad support her (Tilly mark two), will be voting for and rooting for Alex and expecting a River Song routine and I don't know the footballer, but I am pleased to see diversity in the cast.

Good cast so far. Well done Jasmine the booker, if it was her (Stefania Aleksander left?).

My husband also said hasn't Dani Dyer done it before, you are right they are interchangeable sadly nobody remembers who these reality girls are.

Loved them all on The One Show - just caught up now. Pleasantly surprised by Alex and Roman. Dani looked gorgeous. Nepo baby for sure, but I like her on Celeb Gogglebox and look forward to seeing her parents cheer her on.
Alex K is so classy and looks bloody amazing. Great signing. She already has my vote.
But I was blown away by Jimmy, who I don't know at all, he came across really, really well. Add Pumped up kicks/Feel it still to the playlist, now I know he's a striker.
Four decent names in a row. I am very excited!
I also like Nicola Roberts a lot, if the rumours are true and her announcement is this. She is a hard worker, did a lovely Xmas number with Gio and is a decent role model.

The downside to Dani Dyer being on it is the likelihood of Danny Dire being on every week watching.

Dani Dyer has zero personality and also very media image conscious at the same time.
Bland bland. Very painful to watch the one show tonight.

I would have been slightly excited about Alex Kingston about 12 odd years ago when she was on British TV more.
But weirdly I had no reaction.

Dani 5ft 1/154.9 cm (age: 29)

Alex 5ft 7/170cm (age: 62)

• said she'd like Aljaz

Jimmy 5ft 10/178cm (age: 53)

Tricky. Harry could toss Jowita into the air but may feel like Hamza mark two. Alexis might be a good match for him instead. Both are married.

Dani and Nikita may feel like Tilly mark two. I'd be tempted to put her with Carlos. I think Julian is probably too tall for her.

If that is true and Alex has requested Aljaz, she'll get him. Height and age-wise, decent match. I'd prefer Kai. We'll see.

Jimmy has potential. Karen and Katya have both had footballers, as has Nadiya, and she and Luba are too tall for him. Maybe one for Michelle?

Actually, Aljaz doing one of his waltzes with Alex to Moon River would be <chef's kiss>

Maybe, if you think Dani is bland, then she could have Vito to keep her in til Halloween. But she already has three babies to look after!

Some decent celebrity signings! I don’t know Dani but I always end up favouring people I’d never heard of!

Nicola would be a great hire. I’m not a Girls Aloud fan but they were successful back in the day.

Who were the other rumours? Tom Parker Bowles? Rob Brydon?

Rob Brydon is on a high at the moment, so would be a good signing.
