Trying to explain Eurovision to DH, he ^really^ doesn't get it. Keeps ranting that Russia and others aren't even in Europe and that UK has great musically talent and yet we're not top.

Andy definitely should have got more votes. If he'd moved to Eastern Europe he would have been a dead cert.

I thought Andy Abrahams was good. Most of the countries involved in Eurovision do not have large black populations and I wonder if that had anything to do with the fact that a decent song from a very good singer was so overlooked.

Not sure about that - the voting is pretty much just based on the political relationships between the countries involved isn't it? (one of my favourite bits is the votes at the end and guessing which countries will award top points to which countries )

What a load of sh**te - We thought Andy's song should've done much better - at least in the top ten but yet again the policital voting totally ruined the contest. Its so not remotely about music anymore. I think the UK, Germany and the other western countries who actually pay for this contest should set up there own western european song contest. Even if Led Zep entered we still wouldn't win thats' how riduculous it it !! Remind me why we actually watch every year ???
