Right - my faves:

Spain, France and Bosnia/Hertzegovina for being barking. (seriously quite liked the tune to the bosnian bunch)

Thought Iceland could make the club charts with theirs.

Norway in a nice normal type of way.

Thought the guy from Israel could take his clothes off just for viewing pleasure.

I liked the hunk from Israel and the Finish rock goths , neither have a hope of winning thanks to the block voting.

The Ukrainian is a big Eastern European star so should get lots of votes. DH thinks all the power ballads are sung by the same woman or her clone.

While this delightful filler is on, let's discuss: on the completely, highly, absolutely improbably off chance that the UK actually won EVER, who would our hosts be? I mean who can speak more than one language? And just how much of a piss take do you think the organisers would be able to take?

Heated - Finland are part of the Baltic block vote, so they could win if the song was good enough. Not long since they won with Hard Rock Hallelujah either.

The UK really missed a trick this year - Simona from How do you Solve a Problem like Maria was one of the competitors in A Song for Europe. Given that she is Eastern European, we should DEFINITELY have gone with her, to get a few more of the Eastern Bloc votes!
