I watched it and can’t understand what all the fuss is about. Nessa is a horrible coarse woman, why do u all love her? She ripped off that couple on the pedal ride for £70 abd was kicking the arcade machines. Seems a horrible sort of woman or am I missing something?

I've watched it from the beginning (only a few weeks ago) and Nessa is absolutely my heroine! She gives not a fuck and to me (a people pleaser) that is awesome!

My New Years resolution is to "Be more Nessa"!

I.wss,on your thread I was,the,same with Happy Valley I hadent seen a,single episode untill.after the,finale then I binged it over a,couple of weeks and couldn't believe what I had missed
With Gavin and Stacey I didn't see it from.The beginning I remember watching a,random episode and,wondering what all the fuss was about
But a few,years,later I started from the beginning and got it ,it's story in itself imo.You can't really watch a,random episode and appreciate it.

Sonia is clearly high maintenance and wanted a massive expensive wedding. Smithy paid for it all. For 2 years of that he would have likely had a massive drop in income due to covid and being self employed so would have likely needed any savings he had to live then save them back up again to pay. Having planned a wedding smack bang in the middle of covid and with a tradie partner I find the timeline all very relatable.

As,Nessa,herself said in the last Xmas special.on paper her and Smith y don't make sense,but in bed they are,electric but they also have Neil the baby between them who they have clearly put first and they have developed a,close and loving relationship

Brilliant rendition - some great acting in G and S and a great cameo by Anna MS. Mick still wonderful. Fingers still hot 15 years later.So much better than Outnumbered which was a real anti-climax.
